Fantastic skates

While I didn't buy them from here (we're on the east coast...) I wanted to share my son's experience with these skates after a month of almost daily use.

Long story short, he loves them. he found that he has a much better grab on the ice when doing power pushes, he can get into a much more agressive stance when the puck is close to the net and he founds that his hips feel much better after a game or practice.

There are a few little things that are good to know about the fit of these skates.
-First, it does take 2-3 times on the ice to get used to them. the back to front flexibility is a bit strange at first so give yourself some time to get used to it.
-Second, don't be afraid to go back and have them remolded if you feel a couple sore spots after 2-3 skates. When you mold them the first time, before you go on the ice, the will feel very comfortable, but using them you may feel some inconfort in some spots. For my son, we went back after 3 skates and had them remolded but with a special shim at a certain point of pressure this time. It absolutely fixed the issue and now my son says these are the most comfortable skates he ever had.
-Third the bottom clip needs to be just tight enough to lock your heel in place in the skate and make sure your foot doesn't move, but not so tight as to feel too much pressure.
-Finally, work your way up when tightening the clips, exactly like you would do with a ski boot. So start loose, then gradually tighter until you reach the correct tightness.

All in all, they're great skate and my son loves them.

Best stick ever

I just purchased the new ft6 pro and absolutely love it. I am comparing it to my old Bauer agent which was a decent stick. The ft6 feels lighter and the pop I am getting off my shots is giving me on average 4 mph faster on the shot clock with my snap shots. I have always been a Bauer guy, but I am switching over to CCM.

Decent inner glove!

Having never worn a glove under my trapper before, I thought I would give the Lizard Skins padded glove a try. I use a Warrior G3 senior glove and play 3-4 times a week. I had experienced a couple of stingers and made this purchase to see if it would alleviate the issue. The glove fit true to size, though, having never worn an under glove, took a little getting used to on the pinky finger loop. After my 3rd ice time with it I was used to it and noted that I hadn't felt a stinger from a miss-caught puck since starting to wear it. It's a cheap investment for a bit of hand comfort and I would recommend it. Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 was because I felt like the padding could have been a bit more beefy than what it is, but the glove has performed flawlessly since getting it.

Decent stick

Used for a whole season so that is a good sign of durability. But compared to my new CCM jetspeed ft6 pro it doesn't pop off the blade like my new ft6 pro. 4 mph difference between the two. My agent is now my back up stick to the ft6 pro.

Horrible chest protector

Bulky and heavy. Neck area makes it difficult to look down and track pucks. If you're a giraffe then you should be good. It's so bulky that it feels like your suited up to disarm a bomb. 0/10 would not recommend.

I love this stick.

This thing is my newest weapon of choice. I would buy it if it was $600. The advantage you get with this stick over anything else is unmatched. Something this light & this powerful should be banned in 10 provinces and 3 territories.

Broke in 10 games by a u13 girl getting stick checked do not waist your money on this stick

Crazy how well these slide with Quickslide. Coming from Hyperlites that are awesome at sliding, I was blown away that these are even better. Awesome pads and so far I am really happy with how the rebounds react - exactly what I wanted. I’m also big fan of how stiff the thigh rise is. The only thing I can knock, and it’s not even the pads, it’s the sizing. Having previously worn CCM and Bauer in 35 and large, I measured my leg and fell in the 33” Vaughn sizing based off of the sizing chart. Had to return the 33’s because they were too big and got 32’s which are perfect. I know sizing would be different but I didn’t expect it would be 3” different.

Best shaft I've felt since the 80s

As a dedicated hockey enthusiast with roots tracing back to the rinks of the 80s, I've witnessed the evolution of hockey equipment firsthand. The CCM FT6 Pro hockey stick is a true testament to the incredible advancements that have transformed the game. Having spent countless hours on the ice during my junior hockey days, I can't help but marvel at how sticks have come so far. The CCM FT6 Pro is a prime example of cutting-edge innovation that redefines the player experience.

One of the standout features of the CCM FT6 Pro is its grippy, thick, and durable shaft. The feel of this stick in hand is nothing short of exceptional. The texture of the shaft provides an unparalleled grip, allowing for precise control and handling of the puck. This feature resonates particularly well with me, considering the often fast-paced and intense nature of the game. The confidence that the stick's grip instills translates to enhanced performance on the ice, enabling players to execute quick maneuvers and react swiftly to changing situations.

Moving down to the blade, the puck feel is simply sublime. The blade design and material choice result in an impressive tactile connection with the puck. Whether it's receiving a pass, stickhandling through traffic, or taking that crucial shot, the CCM FT6 Pro's blade ensures that the player remains in complete control. This aspect of the stick truly shines in situations where split-second decisions can determine the outcome of a play. The enhanced puck feel empowers players to confidently execute their moves and contribute to their team's success.

What truly sets the CCM FT6 Pro apart, however, is the remarkable combination of great pop and long-lasting performance. The stick's design and construction offer a fantastic balance between power and accuracy. The "pop" generated when loading up for a shot is both satisfying and effective, resulting in powerful and precise shots that challenge even the toughest goaltenders. Even after several months of intense use, the stick's performance remains remarkably consistent. This durability and maintained pop set the CCM FT6 Pro on a pedestal in comparison to the sticks of my junior hockey days, where wear and tear could significantly impact a stick's performance over time.

As someone who witnessed the transition from wooden sticks to the early composite models, experiencing the CCM FT6 Pro feels like a journey through time and technology. It's a realization of how much the sport has advanced in terms of equipment performance, and the CCM FT6 Pro stands as a prime example of this progress. This stick embodies the dedication of both players and manufacturers to elevate the game to new heights.

In conclusion, the CCM FT6 Pro hockey stick is a game-changer that embodies the culmination of decades of technological advancement. The grippy thick durable shaft, exceptional puck feel, enduring pop, and consistent performance make this stick a must-have for players seeking to elevate their game. As I reminisce about my junior hockey days in the 80s, I can't help but appreciate how far we've come, and the CCM FT6 Pro is a shining testament to the incredible journey that hockey equipment has embarked upon.

Skate quarter package delaminating

I bought these skates with expectations for the price I would get 5 years playing 2x a week per season, as I’ve had my last pair at this price point for 10. The skates are delaminating on the quater package. I brought them back to the local source for sport after 2 games and they held my skates for 2 months… With a lot of hockey lost, they called me to say come pick them up and that Bauer still hasn’t informed them on what to do. Pay attention when you buy these skates. Press on the ankles of the boot to make sure it’s stiff. These ones are week and have a sticky sound as they are delaminated.

Great skates

I have used the skates a few times and there is a little bit of a curve to using them as you get more of your edge on the ice when forward in the skate. Once I figured that piece out, I have less stress on my hips (I’m 45 so that means more to me than most goalies) as well as my knees. The common gripe I’ve see about feet being uncomfortable I haven’t experienced. I keep the bottom of the skate loose and the tip above the ankle tighter. I’ve taken shots off the boot and it’s a little better than my previous Bauer skates with cowlings.

Overall best goalies skates I’ve purchased.

My Daughter Loves it!!

My daughter received this stick for Xmas, she hasn’t got the chance to use it on the ice but she’s carried it around the house, flexing it and dreaming of how good her shot will be with her new stick.

Best Bauer Chest yet

I have used the NXG, 1S/1X, 2x, ultrasonic and hyperlite body/sonic arms all beefed up custom unit. This has to be the best chesty I have worn ever, the new chest design is insane for mobility, the unit hugs around your ribs very well and the new materials around the wrist strap is top notch. I was VERY disappointed that they done away with the back pant loop but that is an easy mod to add a strap. The arm mobility of the hyperlite/sonic arm unit was very nice but clunky, this one feels like your wearing a thick hoody. it is crazy how comfortable it is and the inner materials are very supel and soft.
I used this with a base layer that has that new smartQ tech or something or other (same as pro bauer but different brand) and I stayed pretty cool during the game. I am VERY impressed and would recommend this unit. I got an XS. I probably need a small body XS arms but it works for retail option. I am 5'10 for reference and wore a small hyperlite/ ultra sonic etc.

All The Bells and Whistles!

After playing in a pair of OG Bauer Vapors for more than a decade, it was time to get a new pair of skates for coaching and beer league play. I put myself in the hands of the Hockey Shop staff and walked out with a pair of Bauer Matrix skates with LS Pulse TI steels and Carbon SuperFeet insoles. The skates were expertly fit and feel fantastic.

I really like sniping bardowns with it

CCM 380 Deluxe Senior Wheel Hockey Bag

I replaced my current CCM RBZ 110 Senior Wheel Hockey Bay with the latest version - 380 Deluxe. The quality of the 380 Deluxe is far less superior than the RBZ 110. The material of the 380 is vinyl compared to a rigid cloth material of the 110 bag and the new bag eliminated the pull-out handle.

Worth going across the county to get great service

The pads I received were great. Nice and light. Love the strapping but most importantly they are fitted properly. I was having a really tough time trying to find anyone in Ottawa willing to take the time to answer my questions and/or provide knowledgeable answers. I watched several product reviews Cam had done on Youtube. So after my third time wandering around upstairs at PHL waiting for anyone to come and help me, I decided to contact The Hockey Shop directly to see if they could help over the phone.
Cam spent 30 mins on the phone with me, I spoke to a few different guys in the goalie department. I took some pictures of my measurements and sent them in. We finally settled on this product. In a size WAY smaller than I was using previously and even after only a few games the benefit of playing with pads that fit properly is coming through. I'm buying gloves too but waiting for the next versions of Hyperlite to come out, and of course, I'll be going across the country to Goalie Utopia to buy those as well. Really can't thank the goalie team, enough!

Great product

Solid bucket

I have a big coconut - I used to wear an XL helmet. For the sake of easier cage/visor fitment, I went down to ‘just’ a large. I was surprised how comfy it was. Maxed it’s size out without any work - one click at the back - and it actually fits my dome without removing any of the padding comfortably. It offers better protection than my old worn out one too. Light, comfy and protective. What more do you want from a lid?

Best Senior pad on the market!

A+ review for the pad. Fits me a tad large in Medium then my 2x pro in M, Which is great for me. Materials feel very premium, the pad is stiff, slides NEARLY as well as the 2x pro (but they are the best around in alot of people opinion) The new strapping is great, the new toe bridge is a BIG step up, the new behind the knee strap length is nice. Everything screams that they are worth a lot more then 999.99 Only thing that tells you the pad isn't top of line is the Bauer logo on the side of pad looks cheap.

I love them, super happy with everything and I feel like they are a big step up then my 2x pro's, the calf plate is much more comfortable then hyperlite version

Better then the V8 but watch your sizing

I used two v8 carbons. worked well for me. I wore medium and had it adjusted about 1/2 way in its range. I got a good deal on a slightly used one in SM and thought that should be ok because i had lots of room on the medium. NOPE I 100% need an XS in the v9 carbon. I also wear a senior M in bauer ultra sonic. I have to adjust the Small like beyond its smallest point (pull the vecro straight through on the chest and glue new velcro to it to make it short enough) also have the arms only using 1/2 the velcro to get them small enough. Kinda silly that i am dropping down 2 sizes on the new model. Other then weird sizing, its 5 out of 5 for protection and mobility

This stick is amazing!

I've used Bauer Vapor sticks for years and decided to try this one out. I love the feel of the puck on the blade so much more with the Trigger 6 and the release is so quick. I may not go back to Bauer again!
