How a warranty claim works

Check the brand's coverage

Find the brand below and confirm your item is still inside its warranty window. Every period counts from the original purchase date, not the day it arrived.
Sticks go straight to the brand

Bauer, CCM, True, Warrior, Sherwood and most other brands handle stick claims themselves through the portals listed below. Keep the serial-number sticker on the stick — removing it voids the warranty.
Everything else, send it to us

Skates, protective, helmets, bags and other gear bought from The Hockey Shop? Fill in the claim form with your receipt and photos and our warranty team will handle it with the brand.

General warranty guidelines

These rules apply across every brand. Each manufacturer's decision on a claim is final, and may be a repair rather than a replacement.

Coverage starts on the purchase date, not the date the item arrived.
One replacement per item. Warranty replacements are not themselves covered.
Claims must be filed inside the warranty window listed for the brand.
Demo and pro stock equipment carry no warranty.
Stick serial-number sticker must be intact at the time of breakage.
Normal use only. Damage from misuse or abuse may be denied.
Unaltered products only. Modifications outside intended use can void coverage.
You cover shipping for warranty returns and repairs.
The manufacturer's decision is final and may be a repair or a replacement.

Warranty FAQ

Does The Hockey Shop handle warranty claims?

For most non-stick products bought from us, yes. Submit the claim form above with your receipt and photos and our warranty team will work with the brand on your behalf. Stick claims go directly to the manufacturer through the portals listed for each brand. In every case the manufacturer makes the final decision on the claim.

How long is a hockey stick warranty?

Most composite sticks from Bauer, CCM, True, Warrior and Sherwood carry a 30-day warranty from the original purchase date. A few models run longer: Warrior's LX2 Pro, Novium Pro and Super Novium are 60 days, Winnwell sticks are 60 days and Knapper's AK3/AK5/AK7 series are 60 days. Wood sticks, replacement blades and pro stock sticks are not covered.

Do I need my receipt?

Yes. Every brand requires proof of purchase showing the date. If you bought from The Hockey Shop and can't find your receipt, give us your order number or in-store account details and we'll look it up for you.

Is pro stock or demo equipment covered?

No. Pro stock and demo equipment is sold as-is and carries no manufacturer warranty from any brand.

Who pays for shipping on a warranty return?

You cover the cost of shipping the item back for a warranty return or repair. If the brand approves the claim, the replacement or repaired item is sent back to you.

My brand isn't listed. What do I do?

Submit the claim form and choose "Other" as the brand, or email warranty@thehockeyshop.com with your order details and photos. We'll confirm the coverage and next steps, usually within two business days.
