Get scanned.
10–15 secondsWhichever program you choose, the scan itself takes about 10 to 15 seconds and captures your feet from every angle — shape, stance, and the support each foot needs.

See your fit, then spec it.
Left and right differThe scan returns a Best Recommended Fit — model, size and width, often different between your left and right foot. Your Specialist may suggest something else based on your goals, but the choice is 100% yours.

Built, then fitted again.
Baking includedYour specs go to the manufacturer and the skates are built to them. When they land, bring them in — we'll bake and fine-tune them the same way we would any other pair.
All three, under one roof.
Most shops carry one custom program, if any. We're set up for all three, which means the question is which one suits your feet and how you play — not which one we happen to stock.

We're one of a few stores in North America with a MyBauer Fit Station. If you have a unique foot shape and have never quite found skates that work, this is the one that starts from your feet rather than a size.
Bauer offers a deep catalogue of materials and tech to build on from there, and your specs can be saved to the Bauer Player database for next time.

CCMTotal Custom
CCM offers custom across all three of their skate families — Tacks, JetSpeed and Ribcor — so you can pick the exact model and specs you want and still have the dimensions built to your foot.
It comes in two packages: Total Custom and Total Custom Plus. Both are built exactly to your foot shape; Plus adds a few more custom choices.

TRUETRUE Custom
TRUE got its start building custom skates, and we're a verified TRUE Fit Centre — they outfitted us with the technology to scan and analyse your feet.
The tech came out of work by ex-speed skater Scott Van Horne, who holds a bachelor's in science and a master's in biomechanics.

Can I order custom skates if I'm not near Langley?
Not for the custom programs. All three start by scanning your actual feet in the shop, so the fitting has to happen in person.

How long does the scan take?
About 10 to 15 seconds for all three programs. The appointment around it takes longer — most of the time goes on the conversation before the scan and the spec choices after it.
What's the difference between CCM Total Custom and Total Custom Plus?
Both are built exactly to your foot shape. Total Custom Plus adds a few more custom choices on top.
What if my feet are different sizes?
That's rather the point. The scan returns a fit, size and width for each foot separately, and they're often different — which is one of the main reasons people go custom in the first place.
Do I have to take the model the scanner recommends?
No. The scan gives a Best Recommended Fit and your Specialist may suggest something different based on your goals, but the final choice is 100% yours.
Are custom skates worth it for me?
If stock skates already fit you well, probably not — a good fitting and a heat bake get most people where they need to be. Custom earns its keep when your feet are hard to fit: unusual volume, a big difference between left and right, or a history of pressure points that never go away.
Ask at the appointment. Our Specialists will tell you straight if a stock skate would serve you better.
