New for 2025, CCM has introduced the Vizion series — a brand-new line designed to push innovation in both style and performance. The first goalie product in the lineup is the Vizion goal stick, and it checks both boxes: a bold, modern design paired with advanced materials and fresh construction.
Right away, you can tell this isn’t just a minor refresh. The CCM Vizion is built to stand out, both in how it looks and how it plays. The colourways and graphics give it a sharp, futuristic appeal, while under the hood CCM added new tech like ALUPLI composite, HYPETEX, and a redesigned paddle-blade to improve durability and feel.
From the rack to the ice, the Vizion feels like a statement piece: modern, well thought out, and built with performance in mind. In our review, we'll discuss the looks, the tech, and our experience testing the stick out.

We'll dive into the latest innovations and new technology, and how it'll affect your game. Finally, we'll put the Vizion goal stick to the test in our shooting room.
The Vizion concept debuted earlier in 2025 on the player side, highlighted by a revamped shaft shape, aluminum layering in the construction, and an ultra-low kickpoint. That same forward-thinking approach has now made its way to the crease. The CCM Vizion goal stick carries over those ideas with a mix of new materials and geometry tweaks — all with the goal of giving goalies a stronger, more consistent stick.
Right away, the CCM Vizion stands out. Built on a sleek black carbon base, it’s available in three bold colorways: silver, red, and blue. Each has a clean, modern appeal, with the red and blue in particular popping nicely.
Branding details are sharp without being overwhelming. The outlined CCM logo feels subtle, while the Vizion graphics across the paddle and backhand bring a futuristic vibe that fits the line’s theme. Other small touches — like the coloured HYPETEX weave, the repeating mini Vizion logo pattern, and even the Z-shaped grip texture — tie the look together in a way that feels both innovative and refined.
AluPli is a key innovation on the new CCM Vizion stick. By layering aluminum with carbon fibers, CCM has created a stick that resists impact more effectively, improving durability against shots and slashes. This debuted on the Vizion player stick and now makes its first appearance in the goalie category.
CCM rounds things out with its familiar SigmaTex weave, complementing AluPli to maintain strength while keeping weight competitive. This construction maintains the consistent feel of the CCM XF, while providing a boost to durability and performance.
Carried over from the CCM Axis XF, Variable V shaft shaping is all about control when moving the puck. By preventing unwanted twisting, it helps goalies pass and clear with more accuracy and power.
Similar to the Axis XF Pro, the CCM Vizion uses a shortened shaft. It’s a small adjustment that makes a noticeable difference in puck handling, giving goalies more control in tight spaces and making stickhandling less cumbersome.
The CCM Vizion sports an asymmetrical steep shoulder design which improves how the stick fits in your hand. The steeper angle improves comfort, creates a more natural grip, and helps goalies maintain better positioning when holding the stick. With the offset design, the shoulder grip feels more anatomical and natural when in your stance.
The shoulder grip also features Sticktak, CCM’s rubberized grip pattern. The textured lines lock in your blocker hand, offering extra stability while in stance or making plays.
HypeTex material makes its debut on the CCM Vizion goal stick — a translucent weave that adds visual depth and bold colour highlights. It’s not just cosmetic either; the finish enhances the premium feel of the stick.
A redesigned construction sees the paddle and blade built as one. This one-piece mold improves material distribution and durability while giving the stick a more consistent feel overall.
The EVO Blade design blends a softer heel with a stiffer toe.
Soft design improves overall feel when puck handling and offers better reactiveness when playing the puck.
The stiff toe design provides more reliability when stopping hard rims while also creating a better release for hard passes.
P1 is a heel curve with an open face and square toe that gives the goalie superior lift on passes. It has an open face and square toe.
P4 is a deep curve with slightly open face and a square toe that allows for more powerful passes, making it easier to quickly move the puck up ice.
At 600 grams for a 25” paddle, the CCM Vizion sits right in line with other top-end sticks. It may not be the absolute lightest, but it feels well-balanced in the hands and, with AluPli reinforcing durability, offers peace of mind that weight savings didn’t come at the cost of strength.
The first thing that stood out to me on the CCM Vizion was the bold colour options and graphic. The design really makes the stick pop, and it’s one of the best looking sticks CCM has put out in a while. Once in hand, the stick feels light and well-balanced. I also really like the offset steep paddle shoulder design — it sits naturally in your hand and makes the grip feel more comfortable. The Variable V shaft is another thing you notice right away, and it just feels solid when holding the stick.
In our initial testing, the CCM Vizion felt great when it came to playing the puck. Stickhandling was easier thanks to the shorter shaft, which gave me more control overall. Shooting was where this stick really impressed me — the first two words that come to mind are power and accuracy. The puck came off the blade with plenty of pop, and I was able to place it exactly where I wanted without much effort. That’s likely a result of the combination of the Variable V shaft, the Evo Blade, and the flex profile all working together.
The CCM Vizion is clearly designed for the elite goalie who wants the latest technology in their setup. It’s built with performance in mind, with new features to help with accuracy, control, and feel. On top of that, CCM focused heavily on durability here — the addition of AluPli composite makes the stick stronger and better suited to handle repeated shots and slashes.
Overall, the CCM Vizion goal stick is a really strong first entry into the new Vizion line. It takes what goalies liked about the XF Pro and makes noticeable improvements, all while giving the stick a fresh new look. I was really impressed during testing — from how balanced it felt, to the way it shot, to the bold design that stands out in your setup.
If you’re in an XF Pro now or just looking for something new, the CCM Vizion has the same familiar feel but with clear upgrades. It’s definitely an exciting release from CCM and one that’s worth checking out.
