Editor's Full Product Review
"While the G6 was a popular model that both introduced many goaltenders to Warrior gear and reignited previous Warrior users’ love for the brand, the updated G7 line builds off this success by incorporating several user-friendly changes inspired directly by goaltender feedback."
"Warrior has continued their trend of intelligent innovation with their G7 line."
Intro & New Features
Introducing in 2024 is the Warrior RTL G7 Senior Goalie Catcher. With a 75° break angle, CoverEDGE+ design, and a HyperComp reinforced core, it makes this catcher stand out from the others.
External Material
Warrior continues to use the CoverEDGE+ technology. It pushes the glove face forward a bit to cut the angle when challenging a shooter and the shot. On the RTL G7, the dimensions extend at the fingers, offering a longer catching area.
Break Angle
The RTL G7 features a 75° break angle, which is an index to mid-thumb closure. This kind of break angle is very finger-driven, meaning it will appeal to goalies who prefer that kind of feel.
Pocket Design
The pocket uses a single-T coupled with an AxyFlex T design to maximize angles and perceived pocket size when challenging a player and the puck. The pocket with AxyFlex looks bigger since the T is angled more towards the pocket. Additionally, it helps deflect pucks downward into the pocket rather than outward for a rebound. The pocket is laced with white skate lace webbing.
Strapping
The strapping style of the RTL G7 hasn't changed from previous years. The removable palm is carried over as it has been in the previous model within the G-series line. It allows goalies to change the catch angle of the trapper with additional palms available through Warrior if they so choose.
Cuff Design
The cuff is similar to the previous G6 line, allowing for full wrist mobility without any restrictions. This one-piece cuff and thumb design let the goalie present their glove the way they want to hold it, providing more confidence in making the glove save.
Colors & Customization
This Warrior RTL G7 Senior Catcher features a classic graphic and White/ Silver design to stand out in the crease.
