The Warrior Ritual V2 E SR Composite Goalie Stick is Warrior’s recreational level goal stick for 2021. It offers performance in a cost effective package. It utilizes a lot of the same great features from the V2 E+ while being available at a much more reasonable price.

Shaft Construction

Just like the V2 Pro+, V2 Pro and V2 E+, the shaft of the V2 E sticks include VibexLite to limit the vibrations of the stick and create a better feel when in contact with a puck. As well, the shaft has an Impact Fiber Layer to help with durability on direct shots. The shaft, along with the rest of the stick, is made with HiFused construction to be ensure a better balanced stick.

Paddle Construction

The Ritual V2 E’s paddle contains the same TwinSpar technology that is found in the other sticks in the lineup. TwinSpar construction stiffens the stick up and provides exceptional pop for shooting. The VibexLite also continues to this part of the stick and maintains a much more solid feel. The Minimus Carbon provides a good weight at this value, especially when compared to similarly priced wood foam core sticks.

Blade Construction/Stiffness

The blade of the Warrior V2 E composite goalie stick is made with the same Minimus Carbon construction that the rest of the stick. The Minimus Carbon is a material that provides solid stiffness without breaking the bank.

The V2 E senior goalie stick is available in 4 different colourways, Black/Silver, Silver/White/Black, Silver/White/Red, Silver/White/Royal.

Grip

The SlideGrip on the V2 E is one of the best features for goalies that like to poke check. With a matte finish shaft, as well as a rigid side, the stick is free to slide in the palm of your blocker. The hand section at the top of the paddle is a raised tacky grip zone that allows you to have a solid amount of control during regular play.

Blade Patterns, Paddle Lengths, and Level of Play

The Warrior Ritual V2 E Senior Composite Goalie Stick is available in 25”, 26” and 27.5” with W32 (Mid), W33 (Twist) and W34 (Wedge).

Warrior has changed their curve naming system; Quick is now W32, Bishop is W33, and Mrazek is W34. (W32 is the only available curve in Right Handed)

You can’t find a better stick under 100$

This stick is pretty light and has a good flex when you lean into it . For under 100$ it’s an easy choice for the frugal beer league budget conscious buyer.

Goalie Stick Sizing Information

Unlike other pieces of gear, Goalie Sticks are sized mostly to the goaltender’s preference and playing style rather than their height. The most important measurement, when purchasing a new goal stick, is the paddle height (the wide portion of the stick), which is usually taken from the heel of the stick to the shaft/paddle interface. The reason for the paddle height’s significance is because it sets up the goaltender’s depth in the ready stance and (if properly sized) positions the blocker in an optimal position.

Sizing Your Goalie Stick
To start analyzing the size of your goalie stick, put on your goalie skates to get an accurate height of where you will be in your stance. If you’re looking to be even more accurate, strap on your goalie pads and blocker as well. Once that is done, get comfortable in your natural stance (the one you’d be in during a majority of gameplay) and look for the following:
1. The entire blade of the stick is flush with the ground while being 1’ - 2’ in front of your feet
2. After getting your stick into the flush position, check that the inside edge of the blocker hand sits on the outside edge of the goal pad (this is while holding just above the paddle).

Goalie Stick Sizing Considerations
Goalie Stick sizing can be very subjective compared to other pieces of equipment. The reason for this is the ambiguity of each goaltenders ‘natural stance’, especially with younger goaltenders. It is rather common for children to use taller sticks in comparison to their height, as their stance depth isn’t usually as aggressive as a seasoned goalie.

The shaft length of a goalie stick is usually best left at its stock length, as it serves to counteract the weight of the blade and ideally place the center of gravity at the top of the paddle. The one exception to this rule is for advanced puck handlers, cutting the shaft will allow more power transfer when shooting as a result of being able to keep the blade flush to the ice while near the goaltender’s feet.
