Crafted for feel, the Warrior Alpha Surge Goalie Catcher delivers solid, snappy fingers to palm closure in a game-ready feel. It features pro protection reinforced with Hypercomp and thicker elite-grade internals, remaining lightweight while empowering goalies to fearlessly reach, snag, and stretch into heavy shots.
External Material
The Alpha Surge Catcher uses JenPro synthetic leather across the exterior, the same pro-level material features across a broad range of high-end goalie gear. This finish provides long-lasting durability and that classic Warrior look and feel. A new addition to the externals of the Warrior catchers is the addition of the printed graphic design onto the material of this year’s line of goalie gear.
Break Angle
The 90° break angle is characterized by a more open and rounded shape when the glove is closed and offers a wider catching surface, which is often preferred by goaltenders who prioritize a more natural feel and want a larger pocket to catch the puck with greater ease.
Pocket Design
The pocket on the Alpha Surge is designed with a Double Tee AxyFlex Pocket. It is designed to absorb and trap incoming pucks with precision, featuring the maximum legal depth and is enhanced with stopping power. The pocket is built to complement the catcher, by securing every shot with confidence and control.
Strapping
The Alpha Surge catcher is designed with an AxyFlex wrist strap. With a full 360° wrist strap and multi-point internal strapping, this system locks the hand securely into place without restricting forearm movement. The glove stays square to the puck, maximizing surface coverage and enabling total wrist mobility when it matters most.
Cuff Design
The open cuff is a key design that increases wrist mobility. The cuff has been designed to focus on giving goalies an enhanced range of motion so they can make quick and easy movements and more saves to keep them in the game. Open cuff designs are also made for better wrist rotation, and easier interaction with a chest protector.
Palm Material
Tested and trusted by pros, the sewn-in Ax Suede palm with embossed grip combines premium feel with long lasting durability. The addition of HyperComp and thick internals to provide pro level protection while still keeping the glove relatively light. One thing to note is that the 90-degree option does not come with a removable palm.

New goalie gloves will be difficult to close initially, but through either a standard break-in process, or "baking" the catcher with our in-house convection skate ovens, they will soften over time.
