The Warrior Alpha FR Pro JR Hockey Gloves sport a classic 4-roll design but with a modern take on the traditional fit. The new Alpha FR Pro comes with Warriors exclusive Buttersoft feel, new Wartech FNC liner, and Pro Palm. This glove packs a tone of value in Warrior’s new elite-level glove.
External Material
The Warrior Alpha FR Pro gloves use a dual material construction to provide a sharp look and great durability. Warrior uses a lightweight polyester that wraps the foams to reduce weight and increases air flow throughout the glove. Because this is a traditional fitting glove with a modern take, the volume remains in the fingers, and the backhand is contoured for a slightly more anatomical feel. This allows the glove to be more responsive to your hand movements.
Finger Design & Backhand Protection
The fingers, backhand, and finger block protection package is composed of Warrior’s Impax foam. This is a memory-like foam with reinforced plastic inserts to provide elite-level protection against blocked shots or stick slashes. Warrior has also beefed up the outside of the pinky to add more protection in the highly sensitive areas.
Thumb Design
The Alpha LX Pro utilizes Warrior’s Axi-Flex thumb. This 2-piece technology allows the thumb to bend comfortably, and offers better stick control. It is also designed to help prevent thumb hyperextension.
Cuff Design
The Pro Cuff adds an extended range of motion to maximize puck handling and wrist protection.
Palm Material & Gussets
The Pro Ivory Clarino palm pulls the glove together to give players a professional-like feel for stickhandling, shooting, and passing.
Liner
Another upgrade in the Alpha FR Pro is the Wartech FNC liner. This is designed with the strike yellow liner powered by Polygiene to keep your gloves clean, dry, and odor free. The liner is also extremely comfortable, with a memory foam like feel to it.

The Warrior Alpha FR Pro Junior Hockey Glove comes in the sizes 10”, 11”, and 12”. To ensure you're purchasing the proper sized glove, one simple measurement using a measuring tape is all it takes to accurately find your size. Place the tip of the tape measure at the top of your middle finger (or which finger is longest) and measure all the way down to the bottom of your palm. Record this measurement and multiply by two. This will be roughly the size of glove you need. Compare your height, weight and age to the charts provided on each model as well to find your best fit.
Sizing Hockey Gloves (Growing Players)
If you are including growing room in the glove for a young player, always round the measurement up to the next whole number (ex. 3.2” x 2 = 6.4” -> 7”).
Making Sure Your Hockey Gloves Fit (Growing Players)
To ensure hockey gloves fit properly for a growing hockey player, have them place their hands in the glove with their palms facing up. Have the player place their hand inside the glove as they would if they were wearing the glove in a normal situation. Take your index finger and put it between the top of the player's palm and the edge of the cuff. Typically you want no more room than the width of your index finger.
You also want to have the player press their fingers against the palm so you can see the outlines. Make sure their pinky finger is at least 3/4” of the way into the pinky slot of the glove finger. To determine if the glove is too small, take your fingers and feel along the inner cuff of the glove just after the palm material. Make sure the player’s palm is not spilling over the material and onto the cuff. You also want to look at the fingers of the glove, and make sure the player’s fingers to fit in each finger slot, but they should not be pressed up against the edge or touching the gussets.
Sizing Hockey Gloves (Full-Grown Players)
When sizing for true size (no growth room) using the above measurement, round measurements less than 0.5 down to the next whole number. If the measurement ends in .5 or higher, round up to the nearest whole number.
Making Sure Your Hockey Gloves Fit (Full-Grown Players)
To ensure your hockey gloves fit properly, you want to take a look at two things.
