New for the True goalie line in 2026 is the Catalyst Nitro Pro Catcher. This catcher features many different features that make it a solid, durable, and reliable catcher for all goalies. It has JenPro material which is TRUE’s most reliable external material and can be found on nearly all of their goalie equipment. The unique 600 break angle provides goalies with the ability to trap pucks and hold onto rebounds easier.
External Material
TRUE used the traditional JenPro material on the outer construction of this catcher. This durable material provides the glove with a reliable and solid outer build, and it helps keep the catcher in shape for longer. JenPro is a trusted material and is found on nearly all of TRUE’s goalie equipment because of its reliability, appearance, and overall performance that it provides.
Break Angle
The original 580 catcher break angle is characterized by a more open and rounded shape when the glove is closed and offers a wider catching surface, which is often preferred by goaltenders who prioritize a more natural feel and want a larger pocket to catch the puck with greater ease.
Pocket Design
The pocket uses a double T design. The benefits of the double “T” include a wider pocket opening and improved puck tracking when looking through the pocket when freezing the puck. The pocket also features a skate lace closure, which softens the pocket and creates a deeper cradle and reduces the chance of a pop-out, allowing goalies to hold onto more rebounds.
Strapping
For a custom and tailored fit, TRUE designed this catcher with nylon web strapping. The nylon webbing pull-straps ruin out of the cuff and can be tightened with a buckle. This provides the goalie with a more traditional feel by keeping the wrist snug and in place while keeping the rest of the glove loose, depending on their fit preference.
Palm Material
The suregrip palm comes with a game ready feel. This material offers goalies an enhanced feel, grip and comfort when making glove saves. The comfortable and durable material is designed to last longer while holding the palm shape for longer periods of time.
Cuff Design
The floating cuff featured on the Nitro Pro catcher is designed to provide goalies with an additional level of protection from pucks, sticks, and skates. It is built to protect goalies, while also providing mobility so that they are not feeling restricted.

Which Catcher Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Catcher size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.
Analyzing the Catcher Fit
It is important to make sure the palm lines up properly within the catching glove, so that it can be closed without excessive force. New goalie gloves will be difficult to close initially, but through either a standard break-in process, or "baking" the catcher with our in-house convection skate ovens, they will soften over time.
*We do not recommend using any conventional in-home ovens, as the results have been very unpredictable in the past and could damage your Catcher.*
Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector.
