Intro & New Features

Constructed with the highest quality materials to ensure long-lasting durability and protection, the new Catalyst 9X4 hockey pants offer players ultimate mobility and comfort and are designed to complement a player's on-ice movement. These pants are ideal for elite-level players looking for ultimate comfort and protection in a sleek aesthetic design.

External Material

The outer shell is a premium hybrid PE/mesh based shell. It features premium material which make the 9X4 pants more durable and provide players with more flexibility and breathability while on the ice.

Thigh Protection

The thighs are protected with patented iBP 3D injected technology. The co-molded polypropylene and EPP hybrid protection in the thigh area provides players with elite-level protection and reduces the overall weight of the pants, keeping them lightweight and allowing players to move for freely while also being protected and secured.

Hip Protection

Similar to the thighs, the hips are protected with an iBP 3D injected technology design. It features co-molded polypropylene and EPP hybrid protection to keep the hips protected and secure while taking impacts. This design and build on these pants provide players with elite-level hip protection and it also reduces the overall weight of the pants.

Spine Protection

The lower part of the spine is protected through the patented iBP 3D injected frame technology. This design allows the spine to be covered and protected through durable and reliable materials. The hybrid polypropylene and EVA protection keep the spine protected, covered, and secured from impacts, allowing players to carry on with the game.

Kidney Protection

The kidneys are made in a similar way and have a similar design to the spine in terms of protection. Players can maintain their protection on the ice thanks to the iBP 3D injected frame technology. While the hybrid polypropylene and EVA protection keep the kidneys safe and secure while on the ice, impact energy is distributed throughout the rigid frame and absorbed by the base foam to safeguard athletes from collisions.

Belt & Lace Closure

For adjustment, TRUE has implemented a zippered extension feature, which allows the player to add an additional 2" to the overall length of the 9X4 pants. This is helpful for players who may be in between sizes, or for players for experience a growth spurt mid-season. They also feature an inner belt design which can be adjusted and tightened with the skate lace closure seen on the outside of these hockey pants.

Leg Zippers

The inner legs on the 9X4 hockey pants have an enclosed zipper opening that can be used if the player prefers a looser fit in the thighs. These also make it easier to put the pants on for those that choose to put their skates on before their pants when getting dressed.
