This custom TRUE Catalyst 9X stick is a pro return from Edmonton Oilers (NHL) player Kailer Yamamoto. The construction follows that of a standard Catalyst 9X, with a couple of custom features.
The stick uses a square (A) geometry and a glossy grip. A geometry is the standard square geometry you would find on a 9X stock stick, with traditionally rounded corners and slightly concave walls. The blade is a TC2, which is equivalent to a P92 Bauer or P29 CCM stick.
This is a mid kick hockey stick, meaning it excels at puck control and powerful shots. Yamamoto’s variation is 61.5 inches at 85 flex with a blue colouration. The stick is labelled “YAMAMOTO” on the name bar.
Sticks in the TRUE pro stock collection are custom-modelled after specific NHL player specs and use a different graphic pattern than the 9X. Pro stock sticks do not have a warranty, but they are made tougher and sturdier than stock sticks to accommodate pro-level playstyles.
