Intro & New Features
New for 2026, TPS has released their top-of-the-line stick for the Genesis line in the Omega stick. WIth a mid-kick profile, K.E.Z. Composite Technology, and a lightweight construction, the Genesis Omega stick stands out from the competition.
Stick Profile
A dynamic mid-kick flex point is used in the Genesis Omega stick. With two distinct flex differential zones, the shaft’s ability to load is increased, while an added taper flex zone near the bottom of the shaft creates a faster release. For the player who often find themselves doing just a bit of everything during the game, the mid-kick flex point is a solid option. Positioned in the center of the shaft to optimize energy transfer, this kickpoint allows players to generate power from both the lower and upper sections of the stick, making it ideal for all shooting styles.
Shaft Construction
Used in the Omega stick is a new K. E. Z. (Kevlar, Engineered Elastomers, and Z-axis Carbon Fibers) Composite Technology. The K.E.Z. construction allows for a durable build that can absorb impacts, without adding any unnecessary weight.
Blade Construction
TPS has engineered their blade using a technique that preserves puck feel, maintains durability, and complements the construction of the shaft.
Graphics
A strong chartreuse yellow is present on the stick, cutting out at the middle portion of the stick to reveal the carbon weave all the way down to the blade. A nod to TPS’s history, the Louisville logo is visible on the side of the shaft. Additionally, the Genesis “G” logo is present on the toe of the blade, while the other logos are lined up along the shaft in a striking fashion.
Blade Patterns
The TPS Genesis Omega Junior Hockey Stick is available in the following blade patterns: TP28 and TP92.
TP28 is a much more aggressive stick pattern, used often by elite players. This blade curve specializes in quick and accurate shots, but it can be a bit difficult to get used to since it is also very good at raising the puck.
TP92 is the best blade pattern for all-around play, with a mid-curve style. It is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a bit on the backhand.
Sticks are chosen by age tier, then flex, then blade pattern. Youth is 20 flex, junior runs 30 to 50, intermediate 55 to 65 and senior 75 to 105. A rough starting point for flex is about half the player's body weight in pounds. Cutting the shaft down makes a stick stiffer, so allow for that if the stick will be trimmed. Pick the hand the player shoots with, left or right.
