The Tacki-Mac Command Tape Grip Small Butt is a smart alternative to traditional tape, giving players a tacky, durable, and consistent grip that holds up game after game. Identical to the Big Butt version but with a slightly smaller knob, the Small Butt is perfect for players who prefer a little more wrist mobility.
Knob Size A 1-inch knob with a total grip length of 7.5 inches gives you a clean, comfortable feel without the bulk of a larger knob, ideal for players who rely on quick wrist movement and stickhandling.
What is Tacki-Mac? Tacki-Mac Command Grips are made from TPR (Thermo Plastic Rubber), a high-quality material that delivers an exceptional tacky feel. Tacki-Mac uses an injection molding process to ensure even, uniform grips for the best durability possible. Whether you're playing inline, ball, or ice hockey, the Command grip offers the kind of puck and stick control tape just can't match. The grips come in a variety of colours and use a colorfast dye, so they never wash out or dull.
How to Install Your Tacki-Mac
Using the double-sided tape that comes with the grip, remove one side of the protective layer and place it on your stick where you want the grip to sit. Leave about ¼ inch hanging over the end of the stick. Begin wrapping around the stick.
Once halfway through wrapping, remove the other side of the protective layer to expose the second sticky side.
Continue wrapping the tape around the stick, flattening as you go to keep it smooth.
Fold the ¼ inch of overhanging tape inside the end of the stick.
Fill a cup with hot water and add 1 drop of liquid soap (avoid Dawn). Stir to mix.
Pour the hot soapy water over the tape on your stick and use your finger to smooth and coat the tape.
Pour some of the soapy water into the inside of the grip itself.
Place your fingers inside the bottom of the grip, stretch it open, and slide it onto your stick.
Once on the stick, twist the grip down until the top of the grip is level with the top of the stick.
Leave for 2 to 3 hours to allow the water underneath to dry.
Whether you're switching from traditional tape for the first time or you're a Tacki-Mac loyalist looking to refresh your setup, the Command Tape Grip Small Butt delivers the tacky feel, durability, and clean look that takes your stick handling to the next level.
