These are replacement backplate straps for a goalie mask. The backplate is the padded piece that sits against the back of your head, and the straps are what pull it in and hold the mask steady. Once they stretch, fray at the buckle or let go, the mask starts shifting when you drop into the butterfly. That is the point to replace them rather than keep cranking them tighter.
They are made from nylon, so they hold their length through a season of sweat and tighten down the same way late in the year as they did on day one. The buckle closure is the part goalies notice: thread the strap, set your tension, and it stays where you put it. Installation is straightforward enough to do at home between skates.
Worth keeping a spare set in the bag, because a snapped strap at the rink usually ends a goalie's night. Six colours are offered, from black and white through blue, tan, red and navy, so the straps can be matched to the mask or to the team kit.

Not sure what mask this is for
The quality of the elastics is good, but the length is completely inadequate. The top strap just fits. The bottom strap is the same length as the top and on my backplate (and any I am familiar with), the bottom strap needs to be much longer.
