Experience CCM's new core boot technology with the CCM Vizion Senior Hockey Skates. Featuring a close-to-the-foot, one-piece boot construction for maximum wrap, the Vizion delivers extreme responsiveness, nimbleness, and instant power transfer for the ultimate connection to the ice. A sculpted design gives this skate a sleek, profiled geometry packed with performance-focused components.

Skate Fit Profile
The Vizion skate comes in three fit profiles, letting you choose the skate that best aligns with your foot shape without sacrificing performance:

  • Tapered: Narrow forefoot, narrow heel, low volume
  • Regular: Medium forefoot, medium heel, medium volume
  • Wide: Wide forefoot, wider heel, high volume

Boot Construction and Stiffness
Built with CCM's new Core Technology, the Vizion represents the future of skating. Designed with a close-to-the-foot feel, the one-piece boot provides exceptional energy transfer for powerful, explosive strides. Reactive, lightweight materials and an ergonomic shape come together to deliver ultimate performance every time you hit the ice.

Liner and Internal Padding
The Vizion features the TotalDri Pro liner, a high-performance moisture-wicking material designed to keep feet dry and skates light, with an antimicrobial treatment that fights odor and bacteria. Inside, Direct-Ice ankle pads are engineered for the elite skater with a super-responsive, slim design. Feel every subtle movement and react instantly as every powerful stride translates directly into unmatched acceleration and agility.

APDT Elite Tongue
Brand new for CCM's 2026 line, the APDT Elite Tongue is a revolutionary lightweight design engineered for ultimate performance. Maximize energy transfer on every stride through optimal forward flexion, backed by proven, pro-favoured CCM lacebite technology.

Pro Pulse Insoles
Engineered to enhance on-ice performance, the new CCM Pro Pulse ultralight insoles deliver explosive power, unmatched stability, and custom comfort underfoot.

Steel, Holder and Blade
The Vizion comes equipped with Step Blacksteel, regarded as the highest quality standard in skate steel, featuring Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating for superior glide and edge life, plus +4mm of height over standard runners for added longevity. Keeping the blades locked in are the Speedblade XS Oversized Holders, a quick-release holder and blade lock system with an improved dial for easier grip and faster runner changes on the fly. The pro-inspired oversized holders generate a smoother, more effortless glide on every stride.

Measure your foot in centimetres, enter it below, and we'll match you to the right CCM hockey skate size.

Measure sitting down with no weight on your foot. See "How to measure" below.

How to measure your foot

Always measure from a sitting position, not standing. With your full weight on your feet, your arch collapses and your foot appears longer and wider than it actually is.

  1. Place a soft tape measure flat along the ground in a straight line.
  2. Sitting in a chair, place your foot down with the longest point of your foot (usually your big toe or second toe) lined up with the edge of the tape measure. Keep your weight off the foot.
  3. Mark the tape measure where the edge of your heel ends.
  4. Record the length in centimetres and enter it above.

If your measurement falls between two chart sizes, this tool automatically rounds up to the next size. For example, a 24.9 cm foot matches the 25.1 cm row, a CCM size 6.

What a proper fit feels like

Skates do not size like shoes. As a general guideline, your skate size will be about 1 1/2 sizes smaller than your shoe size.

A tight, snug fit in both length and width gives you the best performance and durability. If a skate is too big, your foot slides around inside the boot. You lose energy transfer, and over time the rubbing can lead to calcium deposits on the heel (Haglund's Deformity, often called "Bauer Bumps," though it can happen in any brand of skate).

The ideal fit test: stand with your skates laced and your heel snug in the heel cup. Your toes should just barely feather the end of the toe box. Now bend forward into a skating stance. Your toes should pull back slightly from the toe box. After heat fitting, your foot settles back into the foams and the length you felt in your skating stance becomes your standing fit.

Sizing kids with growth room

It's common, and usually recommended, to leave some growth room when buying skates for a child, but never more than 1 full size. Oversized skates hurt skating development and comfort.

Feet stop growing around ages 15 to 15 1/2. For players aged 14 to 15 1/2, add only half a size. Measure the foot the same way as above to find the true size, then use the growth room selector in this tool to move up 1/2 or 1 size.

Finding your width and fit profile

Length gets you the right size; width gets you the right fit profile. CCM skates come in three profiles: Tapered (narrow forefoot, narrow heel, low volume), Regular (medium width and volume, fits most players), and Wide (wide forefoot, wide heel, high volume).

To measure your width at home:

  1. Sitting down, place your foot on a blank sheet of paper in your usual skate socks.
  2. Trace your entire foot, holding the pen straight up and down against your foot.
  3. Measure the heel-to-toe length and the widest point of your forefoot, both in cm.
  4. Divide length by width. This is your width ratio.

Reading your ratio: over 3.0 means a narrow foot, so look at Tapered. Between 2.5 and 3.0 is a standard foot, so Regular is your starting point. Under 2.5 means a wide foot, so look at Wide.

If you land right on a boundary, you can usually go either way; try both profiles if you can. And if you have a high instep or have dealt with lace bite before, consider moving up one profile for the extra volume even if your ratio says otherwise. Width is also where an in-store fitting helps most, so if you're local, come see us in Langley and we'll scan your feet.

I had a great experience at The Hockey Shop Source for Sports and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for hockey equipment. I stopped in to pick up an affordable pair of skates for public skating, and the staff made the entire process easy and stress-free. They took the time to answer my questions, helped me find a pair that fit both my needs and my budget, and never made me feel pressured to spend more than I wanted. It’s refreshing to shop somewhere that focuses on finding the right product instead of simply making the biggest sale. After I chose my skates, the staff heat-molded them for me to improve the fit. They explained the process, made sure everything fit comfortably, and gave me tips on breaking them in properly. That extra level of service made a noticeable difference and showed they genuinely care about helping customers leave with equipment that fits correctly. The store itself is clean, organized, and has a huge selection of gear for players of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re buying your first pair of skates or upgrading high-end equipment, there’s plenty to choose from. Overall, the friendly staff, knowledgeable service, and professional skate fitting made this an excellent shopping experience. I’ll definitely be returning for future hockey gear and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Hockey Shop Source for Sports to anyone looking for quality equipment and outstanding customer service. 🏒🥅

Came up from Seattle since the hockey shops here have a pretty terrible selection of goalie gear, and it was amazing. The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable and the selection of gear was fantastic.

As far as retail gear goes, Hockey Shop can’t be beat. Great selection in stock and knowledgeable staff, who are particularly helpful with skate fittings. Team Sales is where Hockey Shop really shines. I’ve dealt with Emma in that section for custom gear with multiple teams. She responds fast, gets things done even faster and every order is perfect, whether it’s for one jersey or swag for an entire team. Call Team Sales and ask for Emma if you needs things done right. Highly recommended!

Place is great. Drove up from Washington for better selection and was blown away. Was looking for new skates and Trevor was incredibly helpful. Spent almost two hours rolling through all the different pros and cons, answering my dumb questions along the way. Will absolutely be back whenever I need gear.

This place is the absolute best! Old school retail at its finest with exceptional customer service, store is immaculate, equipment displayed beautifully, and your business is much appreciated. Well done! Shout out to Andrew today for helping me out with my skates, you’re a gem of an employee! Brandon and Tyler thank you also for trying to get my skates to fit perfect! The customer service here was simply amazing! I ordered rollerblades for my son’s birthday as a last-minute gift and accidentally ordered the wrong size. I called and spoke with Mitchell, who was absolutely wonderful to deal with. He was able to change my order while I was on the phone, helped me arrange express shipping, and got them shipped out right away. Now I’m keeping my fingers crossed they arrive in time, but the level of service I received was above and beyond what I expected. If you’re in Langley, I highly recommend shopping here. And if you’re ordering online, I 1000% recommend them. The customer service was exceptional, and Mitchell went out of his way to make sure everything was taken care of. Thank you for making a stressful last-minute birthday purchase so much easier! 🎉🎂

I brought in a friend who was looking to get started playing men's league. Brandon gave us the V.I.P. treatment and patiently helped us with absolutely everything my friend needed. I already knew the goalie department was 5-star, and now I know the entire store is the same. Way to go Brandon and The Hockey Shop!

I went to the Hockey Shop to order a custom goalie set and I can't say enough about my experience with Androo. I had a very particular idea about what I wanted and Androo took the time to go over every option on each piece of equipment while offering his own experiences and opinions, which was a huge help. We ended up exchanging three dozen emails over two months nailing down every little last detail. Every question was promptly answered and if he didn't know, he contacted the company directly to find out. Androo was super chill yet extremely professional and patient. He shared the same enthusiasm about goalie gear so it felt like I was talking to a buddy. I picked up my set today and it came out perfect! Thanks again, Androo!

Clearly this place has an amazing reputation already, so this review won’t make a dent. But I must say, Evan, the e-commerce team lead is great at his job and really helped me out with buying a set of goalie pads. Thanks Evan!

April 2026

I came in on two consecutive weekends, and I can confidently say that The Hockey Shop offers some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced at a retail store. I was looking for a full set of gear, and the staff member assisting me was patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly not pushy. A lot of stores tend to upsell or suggest pricier gear that might not be necessary, but I never felt that pressure here. It felt like they were more interested in getting me into the right gear rather than the most expensive gear. On my second visit, Brennan in the skate section helped me out and honestly, you guys need to give him a raise! His customer service was top-notch. He was incredibly knowledgeable and made the process feel really personal by taking my foot shape and fit preferences into account. He even tossed in some extra laces on the house. Overall, THS is easily one of the best hockey shops in the Lower Mainland when it comes to selection and customer service. The only feedback I have is about the weekday hours—it can be tough to grab last-minute gear before a late evening game. Staying open until 6:30 or 7:00 PM on weekdays would be a huge help, though I totally understand the logistical challenges that might come with that.
