Intro & New Features

Experience CCM’s new core boot technology, featuring a close to the foot, one-piece boot construction for maximum wrap. For ultimate connection to the ice, players can benefit from extreme responsiveness, nimbleness, and instant power transfer. With a sculpted design, it provides this skate with a sleek and profiled geometry with performance focused components.

Skate Fit Profile

The Vizion skate has three fit profiles that allow the player to choose a skate that best aligns with their foot profile in a particular skate family, removing limitations on choice based on fit instead of performance benefit. The Vizion skates come in the following fit profiles: Tapered, Regular, and Wide.
  • Tapered: Narrow Forefoot, Narrow Heel, Low Volume
  • Regular: Medium Forefoot, Medium Heel, Medium Volume
  • Wide: Wide Forefoot, Wider Heel, Wide High Volume

Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile

These skates are built with CCM”s new Core Technology. Experience the future of skating through the new Core Boot. Designed with a close to the foot feel, the one-piece boot provides exceptional energy transfers for powerful and explosive strides. The reactive, lightweight materials, along with an Ergonomic shape come together to deliver the ultimate performance for hockey players while wearing these skates.

Liner & Internal Padding

As used in previous years of high-end CCM skates, the Vizion skate features the TotalDri Pro liner. This liner is a high-performance moisture-wicking material that is designed to keep feet dry and skates light, while the antimicrobial treatment fights odor and bacteria.

The inside of the skates also feature Direct-Ice ankle pads. Engineered for the elite skater, Direct-Ice ankle pads feature a new, super-responsive and slim design that revolutionizes your performance. Feel every subtle movement and react instantly, as Direct-Ice ankle pads ensure every powerful stride translates directly into unmatched acceleration and agility.

Tongue

The APDT Elite Tongue is a brand-new tongue on CCM skates along with the 2026 line of skates, a revolutionary lightweight design that is engineered for ultimate performance. Maximize energy transfers on every stride through an optimal forward flexion, with proven, pro-favored CCM lacebite technology.

Insoles

Engineered to enhance your on-ice performance, the new CCM Pro Pulse ultralight insoles deliver explosive power, unmatched stability, and custom comfort.

Steel/Runner, Holder & Blade Profile

CCM uses the Step Blacksteel on these skates, which is regarded as the highest quality standards in terms of steel, with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating for superior glide and edge life. They feature +4mm height over standard runners for more longevity.

To keep the blades in place, CCM added the Speedblade XS Oversized Holders. This quick-release holder and blade lock system features an improved dial, for easier grip and quicker runner changes on the fly. The pro-inspired oversized holders generate a smoother, effortless glide to each stride.

Measure sitting down with no weight on your foot. See "How to measure" below.

How to measure your foot

Always measure from a sitting position, not standing. With your full weight on your feet, your arch collapses and your foot appears longer and wider than it actually is.

  1. Place a soft tape measure flat along the ground in a straight line.
  2. Sitting in a chair, place your foot down with the longest point of your foot (usually your big toe or second toe) lined up with the edge of the tape measure. Keep your weight off the foot.
  3. Mark the tape measure where the edge of your heel ends.
  4. Record the length in centimetres and enter it above.

If your measurement falls between two chart sizes, this tool automatically rounds up to the next size. For example, a 24.9 cm foot matches the 25.1 cm row, a CCM size 6.

What a proper fit feels like

Skates do not size like shoes. As a general guideline, your skate size will be about 1 1/2 sizes smaller than your shoe size.

A tight, snug fit in both length and width gives you the best performance and durability. If a skate is too big, your foot slides around inside the boot. You lose energy transfer, and over time the rubbing can lead to calcium deposits on the heel (Haglund's Deformity, often called "Bauer Bumps," though it can happen in any brand of skate).

The ideal fit test: stand with your skates laced and your heel snug in the heel cup. Your toes should just barely feather the end of the toe box. Now bend forward into a skating stance. Your toes should pull back slightly from the toe box. After heat fitting, your foot settles back into the foams and the length you felt in your skating stance becomes your standing fit.

Sizing kids with growth room

It's common, and usually recommended, to leave some growth room when buying skates for a child, but never more than 1 full size. Oversized skates hurt skating development and comfort.

Feet stop growing around ages 15 to 15 1/2. For players aged 14 to 15 1/2, add only half a size. Measure the foot the same way as above to find the true size, then use the growth room selector in this tool to move up 1/2 or 1 size.

Finding your width and fit profile

Length gets you the right size; width gets you the right fit profile. CCM skates come in three profiles: Tapered (narrow forefoot, narrow heel, low volume), Regular (medium width and volume, fits most players), and Wide (wide forefoot, wide heel, high volume).

To measure your width at home:

  1. Sitting down, place your foot on a blank sheet of paper in your usual skate socks.
  2. Trace your entire foot, holding the pen straight up and down against your foot.
  3. Measure the heel-to-toe length and the widest point of your forefoot, both in cm.
  4. Divide length by width. This is your width ratio.

Reading your ratio: over 3.0 means a narrow foot, so look at Tapered. Between 2.5 and 3.0 is a standard foot, so Regular is your starting point. Under 2.5 means a wide foot, so look at Wide.

If you land right on a boundary, you can usually go either way; try both profiles if you can. And if you have a high instep or have dealt with lace bite before, consider moving up one profile for the extra volume even if your ratio says otherwise. Width is also where an in-store fitting helps most, so if you're local, come see us in Langley and we'll scan your feet.

Matt T, helped me sort out some hockey jerseys I needed for the new guys joining our team. He helped me get the best price and even had them ready before game one. The jerseys look great! Matt and his team killed it. Will be going back next season when we do proper new set. Thanks!

I am very impressed with this store and how they recently handled my online order. I placed an order for skates and the next day received a phone call stating that they must have "oversold" their stock for those skates and did not have any remaining stock for me. Most stores would have left it there and refunded the customer - which would have left the customer frustrated. Instead, this store called me and told me because this was a mistake on their end, they were going to upgrade my purchase (free of charge) to the recent model of the same skate - this is a massive upgrade. They also put in a set of steel because the other skates came with them. This is a prime example of fantastic customer service, something that is honestly completely forgotten these days. Well done guys. I have already recommended you to a ton of people and will shop with you again.

Best customer service ever! Not only did they take the time to locate the specific items we needed at their warehouse, they also didn't sell us anything unnecessary or overpriced. We will be making the drive up for everything we need, thank you!

Exceptional customer service every time I have shopped here for my kids. The staff consistently go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and ensure you leave with exactly what you are looking for. They always try to find you the best deal and even recommend sale items first, with absolutely no pressure to buy. They are so personable with young kids and make the experience exciting and special. They helped my son choose a new hockey stick, taking the time to watch him shoot both left- and right-handed to make sure he found the right fit. Another staff member even taped my daughter's hockey stick with pink tape just because she loved pink. Those little touches make a big difference. The store has a great selection, excellent prices (often better than second-hand stores), and every visit has been a positive experience. Whoever is hiring and training the staff is doing a fantastic job. Highly recommend! 👏

Amazing retail experience from start to finish. The store is beautiful, well stocked, organized, and easily one of the best hockey stores in North America. Their skate fitting, purchasing process, and after sales service are second to none. They take the time to make sure your skates fit properly, feel comfortable, and don’t leave you dealing with foot pain afterward. Skate sharpenings are perfect every time and reasonably priced. I have complete confidence in their ability to profile blades and correct issues caused by other shops or sharpening machines. I won’t take my family’s skates anywhere else anymore. Their return policy is also well above the industry standard, with 90 days on items with tags, and the ability to try hockey sticks before purchasing is a huge bonus. Most importantly, the staff are extremely knowledgeable about equipment, fitting, and current sales. For new hockey parents especially, you can trust their staff to point you in the right direction. They know what they’re doing, they won’t oversell you, and they’ll make sure your little one is properly set up. I make the trip from Poco on a regular basis. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience at The Hockey Shop Source for Sports and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for hockey equipment. I stopped in to pick up an affordable pair of skates for public skating, and the staff made the entire process easy and stress-free. They took the time to answer my questions, helped me find a pair that fit both my needs and my budget, and never made me feel pressured to spend more than I wanted. It’s refreshing to shop somewhere that focuses on finding the right product instead of simply making the biggest sale. After I chose my skates, the staff heat-molded them for me to improve the fit. They explained the process, made sure everything fit comfortably, and gave me tips on breaking them in properly. That extra level of service made a noticeable difference and showed they genuinely care about helping customers leave with equipment that fits correctly. The store itself is clean, organized, and has a huge selection of gear for players of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re buying your first pair of skates or upgrading high-end equipment, there’s plenty to choose from. Overall, the friendly staff, knowledgeable service, and professional skate fitting made this an excellent shopping experience. I’ll definitely be returning for future hockey gear and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Hockey Shop Source for Sports to anyone looking for quality equipment and outstanding customer service. 🏒🥅

As far as retail gear goes, Hockey Shop can’t be beat. Great selection in stock and knowledgeable staff, who are particularly helpful with skate fittings. Team Sales is where Hockey Shop really shines. I’ve dealt with Emma in that section for custom gear with multiple teams. She responds fast, gets things done even faster and every order is perfect, whether it’s for one jersey or swag for an entire team. Call Team Sales and ask for Emma if you needs things done right. Highly recommended!
