Intro & New Features
Joining the brand new iteration of the AS series in CCM’s Tacks line are the newly upgraded Source Exclusive Vector Premier gloves. Source Exclusive gear combines a lower-end model with features from higher-end gear at a more affordable price. The Vector Premier gloves blend the model and features of the AS 580 and the AS-V.
External Material
The Tacks Vector Premier’s exterior uses elements from both the AS-V and the 580. Around the thumb area, the gloves opt for tough nylon and leather, reminiscent of the AS-V. Around the backhand area, the gloves take design inspiration from the 580 with its polyester and backhand plate features.
Finger Design & Protection
The fingers on the AS-V and 580 both offer premium finger protection, and the Vector Premier is no different. Tacks Vector Premier gloves feature premium dual-density foam and PE inserts, as well as Nash reinforcement in the fingertips for added protection. With this finger construction, you can perform at your full potential from the moment you step onto the ice, as they are made to be comfortable and flexible right out of the box. To further enhance the glove’s movement capabilities, the index finger has been built with a three-piece design.
Backhand Protection
The backhand has the closest resemblance to the Tacks AS 580, starting with the Vent-Tech base in the backhand. This technology offers excellent ventilation around your hand while you play. Over the backhand is an integrated impact protection plate designed to absorb and disperse force when blocking shots or battling in the boards. In addition, the glove features D3O foam in the knuckles for more security in that area. D3O is an amazing force absorbing material, as seen in much of CCM’s other protective gear.
Thumb Design
The Pro FlexThumb on the Vector Premier is built for, as the name implies, superior flexibility. The two-piece design wraps around your thumb with some wiggle room, allowing you to comfortably and firmly grip your stick.
Cuff Design
The cuff is sectioned into multiple parts: a FlexMotion Segmented open cuff on the outside and a Sublimated Liner inside cuff on the inside portion. The FlexMotion cuff is a five-piece, open anatomical cuff that has been shortened for a greater range of motion while stickhandling without sacrificing protection. The Sublimated Liner inside cuff functions as part of the liner and has a soft cushioning texture. Its antimicrobial properties will keep you feeling dry and fresh all game long.
Palm Material & Gussets
The Tacks Vector Premier gloves use most of the same sublimated AX Suede palm material and design as the AS-V, with a Nash reinforcement taken from the AS 580. CCM opted for a Polygiene Odor Crunch-treated Dura-Palm Vector Premier glove. The extra layer right where the glove comes in contact with the stick helps reduce friction and counteract any wear and tear that could occur.
Liner
The inside of the glove is lined with PU cushion foam and a sublimated laminated liner for a smooth and soft, game-ready feel. The laminated liner is water-resistant and durable, ensuring better longevity.
Sizes & Colors
The CCM Tacks Vector Premier Senior Hockey Gloves come in 13”, 14”, and 15” sizes, and the following colourways: Black/Red/White, Black/White, and Navy/White.

CCM Hockey Gloves Sizing Chart
Player Glove Sizing
To ensure you're purchasing the proper sized glove, one simple measurement using a measuring tape is all it takes to accurately find your size. Place the tip of the tape measure at the top of your middle finger (or which finger is longest) and measure all the way down to the bottom of your palm. Record this measurement and multiply by two. This will be roughly the size of glove you need. Compare your height, weight and age to the charts provided on each model as well to find your best fit.
Sizing Hockey Gloves (Growing Players)
If you are including growing room in the glove for a young player, always round the measurement up to the next whole number (ex. 3.2” x 2 = 6.4” -> 7”).
Making Sure Your Hockey Gloves Fit (Growing Players)
To ensure hockey gloves fit properly for a growing hockey player, have them place their hands in the glove with their palms facing up. Have the player place their hand inside the glove as they would if they were wearing the glove in a normal situation. Take your index finger and put it between the top of the player's palm and the edge of the cuff. Typically you want no more room than the width of your index finger.
You also want to have the player press their fingers against the palm so you can see the outlines. Make sure their pinky finger is at least 3/4” of the way into the pinky slot of the glove finger. To determine if the glove is too small, take your fingers and feel along the inner cuff of the glove just after the palm material. Make sure the player’s palm is not spilling over the material and onto the cuff. You also want to look at the fingers of the glove, and make sure the player’s fingers to fit in each finger slot, but they should not be pressed up against the edge or touching the gussets.
Sizing Hockey Gloves (Full-Grown Players)
When sizing for true size (no growth room) using the above measurement, round measurements less than 0.5 down to the next whole number. If the measurement ends in .5 or higher, round up to the nearest whole number.
Making Sure Your Hockey Gloves Fit (Full-Grown Players)
To ensure your hockey gloves fit properly, you want to take a look at two things.
