The Tacks Pro pants are built to handle hits without holding you back. Featuring D30 protection and the Aer-Tec thermoregulation system, the pants offer the perfect combination of coverage, comfort and mobility without compromising speed so you can stay protected shift after shift.
External Material
The outer shell of these pants are made with premium 400D nylon with high abrasion resistant side panels and pro cut ventilated air intakes. The premium nylon is reinforced in all the important areas, with a pro cut in the back of the legs for increased mobility and a newly added ventilation system for elite breathability.
Construction
The pants are constructed with Max Coverage ASD (Anatomical Shield Design), with Flexmotion wraparound protection that features an Aer-Tec ventilation system. This construction is engineered to offer the highest level of protection, now with an advanced level of breathability thanks to the addition of the Aer-Tec thermoregulation features. The ventilated belly pad brings in cool air and the Max Coverage ASD protects you like the pros.
Kidney Protection
The kidney section of the Tacks Pro pants features molded PE caps and lower back protection inserts. This pro-level protection in the caps and low back protection inserts in the belt help players stay protected and dry on the ice with the addition of the sublimated comfort liner, designed to absorb sweat.
Hip Protection
The hips are protected with a D30 inside hip pad with an Aer-Tec ventilation system. The pro-level hip cap is reinforced with D30 zero and disperses impact force away from the hip, while the unique segmented flexmotion hip pad design increases mobility. The added Aer-Tec ventilation system was implemented into these pants to keep players cool and dry while on the ice.
Spine Protection
The back and spine area of these pants are covered and protected with a floating spine design, and a HD Foam guard with D30 Zero inside. The redesigned floating spine protection offers a pro-level reliable shield while the HD foam spine guard and D30 Zero spine offer maximum protection and optimal comfort.
Thigh Guards
The thigh guards are designed with floating molded PE plastic caps with HD foam thigh guards. This provides the player with durable pro-level protection with HD foam thigh guards to keep them protected from impacts. These pants also feature inner leg zippers that allow the player to widen the fit as needed.
Adjustability & Leg Zippers
The Tacks Pro pants are designed with an integrated belt and a stabilized belly pad with +1” leg zippers. The adjustable built-in belt locks in place during play, and the ventilated belly pad offers more airflow and stays where it should be, keeping the protection in place. The practical hidden +1” length extension is great for growth spurts or taller players who need that extra room.

Hockey Player Pant Sizing Information
When sizing for player pants, preference will largely determine how loose the waist of the pants fit. Your pants should fit comfortably around you, and most people like the waist to fit snug, but not too tight. A pant should fit so the belt is sitting right above your hips and around your waist.
Pants come equipped with at least one belt or fastening system to help them secure to your waist. You want to make sure that they are comfortable but not too loose so that they shift or fall down as you move or skate.
You may choose to use suspenders to help hold the pant up, however they are not required by any means. Most pants will come with suspender “buttons” to fasten to, but make sure you double check with the model you are interested in to make sure. Suspenders can be helpful when you are fitting growing to allow for growth room as it will allow you additional length, without having to keep a tight waist. Pants are also available in “Long” or “Tall” versions which offer 1” additional length without having to move up a waist size.
Fitting for Growth Room:
To fit a pant for growth room, make sure the pant fits securely around the waist, and the belt of the pant is sitting just above the hip bones. You want the pant to come down as far as possible however if it is fit too big, it will interfere with the shin pads and restrict movement. As a general rule, a pant with growth room should be in line with the bottom of the knee cap when standing straight legged and fastened at the waist. When you bend your knees and move into a ‘hockey stance’ the pant should slide up the knee and end up around the middle of the knee cap. A pant is too small once it does not reach the top of knee cap, standing straight legged.

To fit a pant true to size, make sure the pant fits securely around the waist, and the belt of the pant is sitting just above the hip bones. You can get a good quality pant at a lower price point but the fit, protection or movement of the pant may be somewhat compromised
