Building off of the iconic shape and break angle of the 590, the 2026 Tacks Pro glove includes next-level upgrades for superior coverage. Featuring a deeper catching surface and a more impactful game ready fit. This catcher is amplified by a fit and feel that is designed for superior control and responsiveness, and a new stickhandling notch. The 2026 Tacks Pro Catcher will help you command the crease.
Break Angle
This catcher is built with a 590 break angle. The 60 degree fingers to thumb closure is designed to provide great coverage, versatile hand positioning, quick and efficient movements.
Pocket Design
The Tacks Pro catcher has been constructed with a Vortx design and a double tee. This provides goalies with an expansive pocket area with an innovative new tee shape and integration for maximized catching surface. The skate lace pocket is designed to improve feel and control.
Closure
CCM constructed this catcher with a game-ready feel. The updated palm break and core, T integration and backhand allow for a game-ready feel right off the shelf. This improved fit allows the hand to sit deeper and more securely in the catcher for quick and easy open/closure movements.
In addition to the Game-Ready feel, this catcher has been designed with a stickhandling notch. This new notch has been added to the base of the glove break and is crafted to provide a strong and secure grip of the stick when playing the puck.
Cuff Design
The catcher features Litecore with D30 padding. The lightweight injection-molded one-piece cuff design with a multi-layer palm features added D30 smart foam for maximum high impact protection. The Flexmotion cuff is shaped to provide added range of motion and a greater integration with the arm and body.
Palm Material
The palm on this catcher is designed with Sensagrip material. This has a memory core base that provides a more comfortable and personalized fit. The palm also features a grip texture that is designed to enhance control and security.
Finger & Thumb Design
The fingers are designed with finger stalls that have added fit adjustments. The comfortable mesh finger stalls have responsive Neoprene pinky and thumb loops to provide additional layers of comfort.
Backhand Design
Designed with a HD Flexmotion backhand design, it has strategic flexpoints for easy open and close movements with increased impact protection.
Strapping
The Tacks Pro catcher is kept in place with a cross form strap. This secures the back of the hand with multiple attachment points for added responsiveness. While the strapping provides a snug and secure fit, the cross form strap allows for greater wrist mobility and movements.
Sizing & Colors
The CCM Tacks Pro Senior Goalie Catcher comes in a regular and full-right catch hand, full-right is designed for those who catch with their right hand. This catcher is also offered in White, Black, and White/Black/Silver.

Goalie Catcher Sizing
More times than not, the fit of your Goalie Catcher is often overlooked. This is likely the result of the limited size availability compared to other pieces of equipment, however a properly sized Catcher provides you the protection and stick control you trust.
Which Catcher Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Catcher size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.
Analyzing the Catcher Fit
It is important to make sure the palm lines up properly within the catching glove, so that it can be closed without excessive force. New goalie gloves will be difficult to close initially, but through either a standard break-in process, or "baking" the catcher with our in-house convection skate ovens, they will soften over time.
*We do not recommend using any conventional in-home ovens, as the results have been very unpredictable in the past and could damage your Catcher.*
Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector.
Sizing for Growing Goaltenders
For growing goaltenders we recommend following the guidelines set above, rather than sizing up to accommodate growth. Oversized goalie gloves restrict control, especially for young developing goalies. As you climb the size ladder for Catchers, typically the glove requires more strength for pocket closure.
Which Hand Do I Need?
Figuring out which hand you need for your Catcher can be slightly confusing. Goalies generally refer to themselves as "REGULAR" or "FULL RIGHT". Below is the easiest way to simplify which hand you need.
- Goalie Catcher Hands Simplified
- Regular - Catcher worn on your Left Hand
- Full Right - Catcher worn on your Right Hand
