New in 2026 is the Tacks 920 Chrome Hockey Helmet. It is designed from the inside out, and the outside in to maximize cool comfort, Aer-Tec enhanced performance and elite level protection, in a modern new look. The helmet features an innovative 3-in-1 multipurpose foam that wraps the head in all-around comfort while also providing dynamic protection that responds to all types of impacts in the game.
Outer Shell Construction
The outer shell of the 920 hockey helmet features a new shell with enhanced venting to bring cool air in and help guide the hot air out. This pro-approved look aspires to elevate your game and pass every mirror test, while keeping you looking stylish and feeling fresh.
Internal Foams & Liner
For comfort, CCM has strategically placed 3D printed Nest Tech lattice liner with built-in ventilation channels to guide fresh air throughout, along with a R3FLEX protection cushioned liner to provide incredible comfort. This helmet also features a cooling sweatband which is designed to wick away moisture, helping manage sweat at the forehead. The sweatband is removable and customizable for easy washing.
Protection
No matter the impact, this helmet is built to help players withstand the nuggets of impacts. The R3FLEX protection with Nest Tech provides players a 3-in-1 full coverage multipurpose comfort liner with dynamic response to help manage all types of impacts which includes: high energy impact shock absorption, low energy impact cushioning, and it adapts + conforms to the shape of the players head.
Fit & Sizing Adjustment
CCM has made adjustments effortless on the Tacks 920 helmet. They have integrated an Adptfit 360 tool-free adjustment system that wraps head length and width in one easy step at the back of the helmet. The 920 also features extended size range plus occipital rear comfort cushion with a smooth edge to lock the helmet in place.

Hockey Helmet Sizing
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for your proper sized helmet you will need a soft tape measure. Take this tape measure and have another person snugly wrap it around your head at the largest point, usually just above the eyebrows (see left). Record this measurement of circumference and compare it to the available sizing charts in the brand of helmet you are looking at.
Sizing after Purchase
To ensure a good fit after you have received your proper sized helmet, flip open and unlock the helmet clip(s) and slide the helmet to its last and largest setting. Position it on the head so the rim is one finger width above the eyebrow. Gradually begin to downsize the helmet, pressing on the front and back until a comfortable, snug fit is achieved. Lock the helmet into this size by pressing down and closing the locking adjustment(s). Look in a mirror while wearing the helmet to make sure the ear guards are covering at least half of your ear and to make sure the helmet does not appear to be shifting back and forth on your head.
It is recommended to use a mouth guard although not required. It is recommended that players wear HECC and CE Certified helmets and in Hockey Canada sanctioned leagues it is required for helmets to be CSA approved. CSA, HECC and CE Certified stickers are fixed to the helmets indicating their certification.
