Building on the former iteration of the ever-popular performance helmet, CCM has updated the Tacks 310 Helmet for the 2026 season. Notable upgrades include a low-profile timeless shell design, R3FLEX helmet liner, Dual-Density EVA Foam, Tool-Free Adjustment System, and an extended size range.
Outer Shell Construction
The CCM Tacks 310 Hockey Helmet has been redesigned with a low-profile shell with increased aerodynamics. Improvements for the 310 include extended sizing, strategic ventilation, and a pro-preferred shell geometry.
Internal Foams
Fitted to the inside of the helmet, a full coverage Dual-Density EVA Foam conforms to the shape of the head and provides a custom-adjacent feel right out of the box.
Liner
CCM has implemented an adaptive 3-in-1 R3FLEX cushioned helmet liner in the 310 helmet to effectively absorb shock from high energy impacts, cushion the head in low energy impacts, and provide an adaptive fit by conforming to the shape of the head.
Fit & Sizing Adjustments
The Tacks 310 Helmet comes equipped with a rear Tool-Free Adjustment System, allowing length and width to be adjusted in one step. This Tacks 310 is a regular fit, but CCM has also released a wide fit variant for the same helmet.
Certification
The Tacks 310 Helmet is CSA, HECC, and CE certified.
Sizes & Colors
The CCM Tacks 310 Senior Hockey Helmet/Cage Combo is available in Black, Navy, and White, in sizes Small, Medium and Large. The Tacks 310 Helmet/Cage Combo will come stock with the FM580 cage.

Hockey Helmet Sizing
CCM Vector Hockey Helmet Fit
The Vector line of helmets fits very wide through the temples and side of the head while tightening around the back. This helps the helmets lock in your occipital lobe while providing enough room for wider heads.
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for your proper sized helmet you will need a soft tape measure. Take this tape measure and have another person snugly wrap it around your head at the largest point, usually just above the eyebrows (see left). Record this measurement of circumference and compare it to the available sizing charts in the brand of helmet you are looking at.
Sizing after Purchase
To ensure a good fit after you have received your proper sized helmet, flip open and unlock the helmet clip(s) and slide the helmet to its last and largest setting. Position it on the head so the rim is one finger width above the eyebrow. Gradually begin to downsize the helmet, pressing on the front and back until a comfortable, snug fit is achieved. Lock the helmet into this size by pressing down and closing the locking adjustment(s). Look in a mirror while wearing the helmet to make sure the ear guards are covering at least half of your ear and to make sure the helmet does not appear to be shifting back and forth on your head.
It is recommended to use a mouth guard although not required. It is recommended that players wear HECC and CE Certified helmets and in Hockey Canada sanctioned leagues it is required for helmets to be CSA approved. CSA, HECC and CE Certified stickers are fixed to the helmets indicating their certification.
