For the 2026 season, CCM has released their newest elite-level helmet: the Tacks X Pro. Packed full with comfort, protection, and performance, the X Pro boasts technologies such as the 3D Printed Nest Tech Flux lattice liner and R3FLEX base liner, as well as the ADPTFit360 Adjustment System, a reinforced side impact frame, Aer-Tec Moisture-Wicking Sweatband, and design changes that increase ventilation throughout the helmet.
The shell construction for the Tacks X Pro has been optimized for maximum airflow by enlarging vents in key locations at the front, rear, and top of the helmet. A modern design allows the vents to be channeled in positions that increase sweat evaporation and work seamlessly with the Nest Tech lattice liner to provide the ultimate cooling solution.
The Tacks X Pro utilizes the 3D Printed Nest Tech liner, a technology CCM has recently introduced, with their newest development in the liner being the Flux weave lattice structure. This new structure promotes airflow both horizontally and vertically without compromising protection or comfort.
CCM has implemented an adaptive 3-in-1 R3FLEX cushioned helmet liner in their new X Pro helmet to effectively absorb shock from high energy impacts, cushion the head in low energy impacts, and provide an adaptive fit by conforming to the shape of the head. The R3FLEX liner works hand-in-hand with CCM’s Nest Tech Flux Liner, acting as a buffer between the lattice structure and the shell of the helmet.
First pioneered in the Tacks 920 of the 2025 season, the X Pro features the ADPTFit360 Tool-Free Adjustment System, allowing the helmet to be tailored exactly to the head in one easy step. This system adjusts length and width at the same time, creating a secure fit to the head. To compliment the fit system and ensure player comfort, the Tacks X Pro also comes equipped with the moisture-wicking Aer-Tec TotalDri sweatband, which helps players keep dry and snug in the helmet.
The Tacks X Pro Helmet is CSA, HECC, and CE certified.
The CCM Tacks X Pro Senior Hockey Helmet is available in sizes Small, Medium, and Large in Black, White, Navy, and Red. The Tacks X Pro Helmet will come with a protective helmet bag and logo personalization stickers in Red, Royal, Orange, Kelly Green, Sunflower, and Maroon. Three stickers in each color are included for the sides (2) and front of the helmet (1).

Sizing before Purchase
To fit for your proper sized helmet you will need a soft tape measure. Take this tape measure and have another person snugly wrap it around your head at the largest point, usually just above the eyebrows (see left). Record this measurement of circumference and compare it to the available sizing charts in the brand of helmet you are looking at.
Sizing after Purchase
To ensure a good fit after you have received your proper sized helmet, flip open and unlock the helmet clip(s) and slide the helmet to its last and largest setting. Position it on the head so the rim is one finger width above the eyebrow. Gradually begin to downsize the helmet, pressing on the front and back until a comfortable, snug fit is achieved. Lock the helmet into this size by pressing down and closing the locking adjustment(s). Look in a mirror while wearing the helmet to make sure the ear guards are covering at least half of your ear and to make sure the helmet does not appear to be shifting back and forth on your head.
It is recommended to use a mouth guard although not required. It is recommended that players wear HECC and CE Certified helmets and in Hockey Canada sanctioned leagues it is required for helmets to be CSA approved. CSA, HECC and CE Certified stickers are fixed to the helmets indicating their certification.
