"The Jetspeed line’s temperature-management systems can deliver game-changing benefits for just about every player—from stay-at-home defenders to grinders battling in the corners."
Intro & New Features
Introducing the all new Jetspeed FT8 Pro shoulder pads as part of CCM’s 2025 protective line. It is designed to offer maximum breathability in a highly mobile, lightweight yet reliable package. Players will feel lighter and cooler than ever - and be able to play their best game yet, all while being well-protected.
Construction
The FT8 Pro shoulder pads feature an Aer-Tec Thermoregulation System with new AGI Shields. The maximum lightweight, fully exposed foam-only design is reinforced with AGI Shield panels to optimize the protection for elite players, with max ventilation for cooling to help keep your body and gear light throughout the game. The amplified mobility design with molded zotefoam is designed to provide a low profile fit that is close to the body and provides superior freedom of movement.
Shoulder Caps & Protection
The shoulders are protected with ultra-light U-Foam shoulder caps. The pro-level protection is made from an incredibly light yet extremely durable EPP core. This design helps keep the pads lightweight and mobile, with lots of extra room to move. The fit is also low-profile to further enhance that freedom of movement.
Sternum Protection
Like the rest of the gear, the sternum area is also designed to be breathable for the player, with a compress molded HD Hybrid sternum shield and has multiple ventilation ports. The shield works with the Aer-Tec Thermoregulation System to offer good protection alongside the mobility of the new FT8 Pro design. The front is also protected with HD foam to provide an elite level of protection in those key areas.
Spine Protection
Similar to the sternum shield, the spine is protected with a compress molded HD foam articulated upper spine to provide players with an elite level of protection. The spine also features added ventilation ports for breathability for an overall lightweight and comfortable fit that keeps you protected.
Bicep Protection
The biceps also use HD molded foam on the guards coupled with ventilation ports. The Aer-Tec Suspension System in the biceps keeps the arm area extremely lightweight and ventilated to keep you dry, so you can be ready for pro-level play. The biceps also include some length adjustments and additional improvements to the way the shoulder pads interact with your elbow pads, to help with mobility and comfort.
Liner
The Aer-Tec Suspension System allows the FT8 Pro shoulder pads to not require much of a liner at all, since the denser parts of the gear are left mostly suspended above you while you play. This design effectively makes it so more air can flow through and moisture can evaporate faster. The light mesh liner has been treated with Polygiene and Odor Crunch and uses a Full Dry Foam design.
Abdominal Protection Piece
The FT8 Pro includes an extended-coverage front panel with a compress molded HD protection pad for elite-level coverage in the abdomen area.
Sizes
The Jetspeed FT8 Pro Junior Hockey Shoulder Pads come in Medium and Large sizes

Player Shoulder Pad Sizing
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.
Sizing after Purchase
Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit.
1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.
- This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
- Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.
If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
