Intro & New Features
CCM introduces the FT8 hockey gloves as part of the protective line for the 2025 season. The gear puts emphasis on durability and mobility, while remaining highly protective for players of all different skill levels. These gloves use some of CCM’s best technology and features, including an Aer-Tec Thermoregulation and Suspension System and a Pro FlexThumb.
Construction
The FT8 gloves feature an Aer-Tec Thermoregulation System with an improved game ready elite feel with high levels of comfort and mobility. The Aer-Tec powered system allows for maximum breathability and airflow. The lightweight and comfortable construction is optimized for pro-level play, and the game ready feel is ready to go when you are.
External Material
The Jetspeed FT8 hockey gloves are made with elite-level polyester and synthetic leather over the outside. This provides a durable and lightweight exterior that can withstand the rigors of intense gameplay. The material is also designed to offer maximum ventilation, keeping your hands cool and comfortable during the most intense hockey games.
Finger Design & Protection
The fingers are protected with premium ZoteFoam, high density PE foam and PE plastic shield inserts. The lightweight construction offers high levels of protection and the three-piece index finger design allows for maximum dexterity. Additionally, these gloves have improved comfort PU foam cushioning for an extra level of comfort while you use these gloves.
Backhand Protection
The backhand uses high-density PE foam and PE plastic shield inserts for reinforcement, similar to the design of the finger protection. The gloves are equipped with an Aer-Tec Ventilation System, which increases airflow within the gloves to regulate temperature and keep your hands cool and comfortable during the game. The backhand also features a ventilation port for optimal airflow along with elite-level protection.
Thumb Design
The Jetspeed FT8 hockey gloves use a Pro FlexThumb design. The two-piece thumb delivers better mobility and an incredible grip on your stick, for better control on your stick. The two-piece design allows the player's thumb to move more freely and naturally, allowing for better control of the puck. The Pro FlexThumb is available in sizes 11” and up in this glove.
Cuff Design
The short, pre-angled open cuff is designed to allow for lots of mobility while still keeping your wrist protected. This is especially important for stickhandling and shooting, where players need to be able to move their wrists quickly and easily. Plastic inserts are strategically placed to cover vulnerable areas and help to disperse the energy of impacts across a larger area.
Palm Material & Gussets
The Sensalast Palm reinforcement on a synthetic leather base enhances the interaction between the hand and stick with its embossed texture. The seamless and soft feel of the palm provides players with maximum comfort and flexibility, and the heightened durability and grip ensure a long-lasting and effective grip on the stick during gameplay.
Liner
The Aer-Tec Suspension System with a mesh liner is treated with Polygiene and Odorcrunch for an increased level of comfort in the fingers and knuckles. It is designed to absorb sweat to stay light and provides a long lasting and instant comfort. Additionally, the FT8 gloves also feature a sublimated liner that feels great and helps you stay dry with enhanced antibacterial and odor fighting treatments to help your gloves to feel fresh for longer, while the max ventilation and mesh lining allow for cooling and evaporation to help keep the hands dry.
Sizes & Colors
The CCM Jetspeed FT8 Senior Hockey Gloves are available in the following colourways: Black/Red, Black/Red/White, Black/White, Navy/Red/White, Navy/Gold, Navy/White, Red/White, and Royal/White. The FT8 gloves come in sizes 10”, 11”, and 12”.

CCM Hockey Gloves Sizing Chart

Player Glove Sizing
To ensure you're purchasing the proper sized glove, one simple measurement using a measuring tape is all it takes to accurately find your size. Place the tip of the tape measure at the top of your middle finger (or which finger is longest) and measure all the way down to the bottom of your palm. Record this measurement and multiply by two. This will be roughly the size of glove you need. Compare your height, weight and age to the charts provided on each model as well to find your best fit.
Sizing Hockey Gloves (Growing Players)
If you are including growing room in the glove for a young player, always round the measurement up to the next whole number (ex. 3.2” x 2 = 6.4” -> 7”).
Making Sure Your Hockey Gloves Fit (Growing Players)
To ensure hockey gloves fit properly for a growing hockey player, have them place their hands in the glove with their palms facing up. Have the player place their hand inside the glove as they would if they were wearing the glove in a normal situation. Take your index finger and put it between the top of the player's palm and the edge of the cuff. Typically you want no more room than the width of your index finger.
You also want to have the player press their fingers against the palm so you can see the outlines. Make sure their pinky finger is at least 3/4” of the way into the pinky slot of the glove finger. To determine if the glove is too small, take your fingers and feel along the inner cuff of the glove just after the palm material. Make sure the player’s palm is not spilling over the material and onto the cuff. You also want to look at the fingers of the glove, and make sure the player’s fingers to fit in each finger slot, but they should not be pressed up against the edge or touching the gussets.
Sizing Hockey Gloves (Full-Grown Players)
When sizing for true size (no growth room) using the above measurement, round measurements less than 0.5 down to the next whole number. If the measurement ends in .5 or higher, round up to the nearest whole number.
Making Sure Your Hockey Gloves Fit (Full-Grown Players)
To ensure your hockey gloves fit properly, you want to take a look at two things.
