Introducing the all-new CCM Jetspeed FT6 Pro hockey skates, designed specifically for agility-minded skaters. Engineered to cater to elite players, these skates feature a stiff boot that seamlessly integrates memory foam, molding perfectly to your foot's anatomy for an unparalleled fit and comfort. The skates also include Game Ready Fit 2.0 technology, a pro-grade Flex Tendon with carbon, and an ADPT Comfort tongue with a Flexmotion design to maximize performance while offering the most comfortable series of skates yet.
Skate Fit Profile
CCM put a major focus on comfort and making their skates game-ready right out of the box; to implement this, they enhanced the fit to a Game Ready Fit 2.0. The philosophy was that no one wants to wear uncomfortable hockey skates; the various ADPT memory foams and seamless comfort incorporated in the inner padding help accomplish this feat at all levels. Game Ready Fit 2.0 is based on the Tacks 2022 and improves on the design with more wrap and better heel pocket lock, with a wider bottom and more shaping in the back.
At the highest level, the Jetspeed FT6 Pro Senior and Intermediate skates come in Tapered, Regular, and Wide options (Junior and Youth, only Regular).
Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile
The Jetspeed FT6 Pro hockey skates feature a boot construction that embodies the perfect blend of performance and durability. Crafted with RFM composite and a high-end core material trusted in the NHL, these skates are exceptionally lightweight yet boast enhanced durability for prolonged use. With a stiffness rating of 195, the super lightweight and stiff core of the skates delivers optimal power transfer and agility on the ice. Additionally, the skates boast an added EVA layer that enhances fit and comfort.
Liner & Internal Padding
The skates feature a TotalDri Pro liner with Polygiene and treatment, ensuring high-performance moisture-wicking capabilities to keep feet dry and the skates light. The liner also provides superior odor protection. The footbed is equipped with a molded CCM Ortholite Ultra with ADPT Memory Foam, providing ultra-lightweight comfort, a molded fit, and heel grip support for an elevated skating experience. An extra layer of ADPT Memory Foam is included to further enhance those skating capabilities. The ankle padding made of memory foam and a Seamless Comfort design complements the other elements of the skate, with multi-density foam pads wrapping seamlessly and anatomically around your foot. This ensures a customized fit coupled with unparalleled comfort throughout your game.
Lacing System
The Jetspeed line continues with the tried and true standard eyelet lacing system. The top eyelets are also reinforced for increased durability.
Tongue
The innovative ADPT comfort foam tongue delivers unmatched fit and comfort. The tongue features a metatonic fit, lightweight molded core, and ADPT memory foam that seamlessly wraps around your foot, ensuring an optimal and personalized fit. Additionally, the tongue's Flexmotion lace-bite design not only enhances forward flexion but also provides added protection, allowing you to skate with confidence and agility.
Steel/Runner/Profile/Blade Holder
After the acquisition of Step, high-end CCM skates will feature Step steel off the shelf. For the FT6 Pro, the ever-popular Step Blacksteel will be the stock steel. This carbon-coated steel is regarded as one of the highest quality steel on the market, providing superior edge hardness and glide. This Blacksteel is also 4mm taller, increasing attack angle and turning radius.
The Speedblade XS holder is mounted on the FT6 Pro skates for a sturdy base. This year, CCM incorporates an enhanced dial to make it even easier to switch runners in a pinch. This dial is standard at the NHL level.
Graphics
This year’s iteration of the Jetspeed skate looks similar to the previous FT4 series but is shinier with added gold and silver accents along the side of the boot. Unlike the previous light trail design seen before with the CCM text logo, this year, the logo has been cleaned up for greater shine and bolder colour.

Hockey Player Skate Sizing Guide

When sizing for the correct size of a skate, we always advise taking the measurements below from a sitting position and not standing upright. Additional weight on your foot/feet can skew your result and misrepresent your foot size. The reason for this is that as you put your full weight on your feet, the arch of your foot will collapse and cause your foot to appear wider or longer than it actually is.
As well, please be aware that skate sizes and shoes sizing do not match exactly. As a general guideline, skate's size 1 - 1 ½ sizes smaller than shoes.
It is ideal for a player to have a tight, snug fit both in length and width as this will provide the best performance and durability. If a skate is too big you will feel your feet slide around and you will not get the full performance out of the skates and can also develop calcium deposits - Haglund’s Deformity or “Bauer Bumps” for lack of a better term although this issue doesn’t only occur with Bauer models.
An Ideal Fit
Stand with your skates laced and your heel snug in the heel cup. Your toes should just barely feather the end of the toe box. Bend forward into a skating stance. Your toes should pull back slightly from the toe box. Once heat fit, your foot should slide back into the foams of the skate and the length you felt in your skating stance will more-or-less become you standing size.
To obtain the measurement above you will need a soft tape measure and a pen. Start by placing the tape measure flat along the ground in a straight line. Sitting in a chair, place your foot down with the longest point of your foot (usually big toe, or second toe) in line with the edge of the tape measure. Make sure you keep your weight off of your foot. Take a pen and mark the tape measure where the edge of your heel ends. Record this length in cm. This measurement will correspond with the sizing charts in each brand below, if you do not see your exact measurement, select the size with the next size increment above your measurement (i.e. you measure 24.9 cm, you would select 25.1 cm or Size 6).
Sizing Children for Growth Room
If you are purchasing skates for your child, it is common and usually recommended to add some additional room in the skate to increase the last, we recommend no more than 1 full size. Feet stop growing around ages 15 – 15 ½, and from ages 14 - 15 ½ we would recommend adding only half (1/2) a size in length. Follow the same measurement instructions as above, once you obtain your true size move up ½ or 1 size.
