Intro & New Features
The CCM Jetspeed Control Senior Hockey Shoulder Pads were specifically designed for Source for Sports to bring elite level players the best features and value. The Control combines features from the FT485 and adds upgrades from the FT4 to give you the best bang for your buck in a competitive level shoulder pad.
Shoulder Caps & Protection
The Control shoulder pads feature upgraded low profile shoulder caps and clavicle protector from the FT4 model. The low profile JDP (Joint Dispersing Protection) shoulder caps keep everything tight to the body and improves freedom of movement and is especially noticeable during large movements like slapshots. The gear moves with you instead of bunching or bulking up. Not only does it create a terrific range of motion, but the protective pieces keep you better covered at all times.
Sternum Protection
A floating sternum design that contributes to the Control’s excellent mobility and range of motion. This design remains low profile while providing must-have protection where it counts.
Spine Protection
The Control has an anatomical spine protector that stays close to your body while providing must-have protection, especially against cross checks in net front battles.
Bicep Protection
Plastic molded bicep guards are pre-curved to fit your arm comfortably and provide great protection. To get the fit with your elbow pads perfectly dialled in, you can adjust the bicep guard length with a Velcro strap beneath the shoulder cap.
Liner
The Control features a moisture wicking liner that works to wick sweat away and dry out quickly between games.
Abdominal Protection Piece
Lightweight, perforated foams provide additional coverage in the upper chest and a removable belly pad allows you to customize the fit.

Player Shoulder Pad Sizing
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.
Sizing after Purchase
Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit.
1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.
- This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
- Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.
If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
