Intro & New Features
Experience the ultimate combination of lightweight performance and precise control with the CCM EFlex 6 goalie series. Building upon the success of its predecessors, the catcher is designed to elevate your game to new heights, featuring a Litecore cuff and palm, Dura Palm, a Flexmotion 2 design, and D3O foam in the construction. This line of catchers also debuts CCM’s new 581 break angle.
External Material
The Dura Palm used on the EFlex 6 catcher is made with AX Suede and includes a Suregrip reinforcement. AX Suede is a synthetic material known for its durability, softness, and excellent grip properties; in CCM gear, the material provides a comfortable and responsive feel while offering a reliable grip on the glove. SureGrip is another type of synthetic material; it is engineered to provide enhanced grip and control in various playing conditions and is designed to offer excellent stick control, minimizing slippage and further promoting a secure hold on the stick.
Break Angle
The original 580 catcher break angle is characterized by a more open and rounded shape when the glove is closed and offers a wider catching surface, which is often preferred by goaltenders who prioritize a more natural feel and want a larger pocket to catch the puck with greater ease.
The 590 break provides a balance between an open and closed shape, offering a moderate catching surface. It’s a versatile option that suits goaltenders looking for a mix of mobility, control, and a medium-sized pocket.
The new 581 break angle takes inspiration from the 580 break and has been enhanced for better closure, feel, and responsiveness.
Pocket Design
The catcher employs a Double-T pocket design, which works with the 580 and similar breaks to provide increased surface area for catching and better puck retention. It offers two separate sections for the puck to settle into, which can help improve control and prevent the puck from popping out upon impact. The fit of the catcher is designed to be game-ready right out of the box.
The glove also uses D3O foam, which is made from a non-Newtonian fluid that changes depending on the applied force. When subjected to sudden impact or high-energy collisions, the molecules within the foam lock together to form a rigid structure—in contrast to the pliable and easily moldable behaviour it exhibits in its natural state. In effect, it is one of the best materials out there for cushioning impact from shots; it has been placed strategically in key points in the catcher.
Strapping
The backhand of the trapper features a Cross Form strap, which secures the back of the hand through multiple attachment points, allowing for greater wrist mobility and responsiveness. In addition to the backhand strapping, the inside also uses a form-fit finger design: heat-activated technology that molds around your fingers for a more personalized feel. The glove also includes new pinky and index finger strappings to keep your hand locked in.
Cuff Design
Litecore technology on the Eflex 6 is injected into the cuff and palm to provide the fastest and most efficient response from its light weight and protective capabilities. It’s designed to make it extremely easy to open and close the glove. The glove also uses a Flexmotion 2 design, which includes strategic flex points and layered protection for a greater range of motion. Colors & Customization The EFlex 6 Senior catcher is available in Regular orientation in the following colourways: Black/Red/White, White, White/Black/Silver, White/red, White/Blue/Red, White/Blue, White/Black, White/Blue/Green, and Black. Full Right is only available in White.

Goalie Catcher Sizing
More times than not, the fit of your Goalie Catcher is often overlooked. This is likely the result of the limited size availability compared to other pieces of equipment, however a properly sized Catcher provides you the protection and stick control you trust.
Which Catcher Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Catcher size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.
Analyzing the Catcher Fit
It is important to make sure the palm lines up properly within the catching glove, so that it can be closed without excessive force. New goalie gloves will be difficult to close initially, but through either a standard break-in process, or "baking" the catcher with our in-house convection skate ovens, they will soften over time.
*We do not recommend using any conventional in-home ovens, as the results have been very unpredictable in the past and could damage your Catcher.*
Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector.
Sizing for Growing Goaltenders
For growing goaltenders we recommend following the guidelines set above, rather than sizing up to accommodate growth. Oversized goalie gloves restrict control, especially for young developing goalies. As you climb the size ladder for Catchers, typically the glove requires more strength for pocket closure.
Which Hand Do I Need?
Figuring out which hand you need for your Catcher can be slightly confusing. Goalies generally refer to themselves as "REGULAR" or "FULL RIGHT". Below is the easiest way to simplify which hand you need.
- Goalie Catcher Hands Simplified
- Regular - Catcher worn on your Left Hand
- Full Right - Catcher worn on your Right Hand
