Intro & New Features

Continuing the legacy of the popular Extreme Flex line, the fifth rendition from CCM brings new technologies to a winning design. A mobile Flexmotion cuff, paired with D30 smart foam in a lightweight package makes the EFlex 5 a great option for goalies.

External Material

The EFlex 5 blocker is wrapped in CCM’s proprietary Speedskin material. Speedskin on a blocker doesn’t have the same slide benefit as it does on pads. However, it is a lighter material than traditional jenpro, and keeps the material consistent throughout a goalie’s entire setup.

Internal Construction

The EFlex 5 features a lightweight blocking board that is made up of heat-laminated dual-density and PE foam. This blocker board constriction gives goalies optimal rebound control and a balanced feel.

Palm Material

The palm of the EFlex 5 is made up of multi-layered reinforced nash. This reinforced nash material provides durability, while maintaining optimized feel and grip.

Side Hand Protection

The sidewall of the EFlex 5 features an X-stiff sidewall with straight finger protection. Extra stiff sidewall protects the inside edge of the hand, while straight finger protection protects against shots that ride up the stick.

Cuff

The adjustable Flexmotion cuff on the EFlex 5 gives goalies ample mobility, while the velcro cuff allows goalies to customize their fit.

Hand Protection

The hand protection on the EFlex 5 features segmented high density foams that protect the fingers, and D30 smart foam at the end of the index finger. D30 is a flexible material that hardens on impact, and protects the index finger.

Colors & Customization

The EFlex 5 blocker is available in a range of stock colours, and on CCM’s online customizer. This demo blocker comes in Black / Red.

Goalie Blockers Sizing

More times than not, the fit of your Goalie Blocker is often overlooked. This is likely the result of the limited size availability compared to other pieces of equipment, however a properly sized Blocker provides you the protection and stick control you trust.

Which Blocker Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Blocker size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.

Analyzing the Blocker Fit
It is important to ensure that the fingers tips lie close to the seam of the palm, or within 0.5” if the Blocker is for a young growing goaltender. Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector. You also want to ensure that the goalie can maintain control of their stick in addition to being able to maneuver the blocker when handling the puck.

Which Hand Do I Need?
Figuring out which hand you need for your Blocker can be slightly confusing. Goalies generally refer to themselves as "REGULAR" or "FULL RIGHT". Below is the easiest way to simplify which hand you need.

    Blocker Hands Simplified
  • Regular - Blocker worn on your Right Hand
  • Full Right - Blocker worn on your Left Hand
