Intro & New Features
The all-new Brian’s ICONIK 2 Goalie Leg Pads build on the success of the original ICON1K line with a series of refined upgrades designed for today’s modern hybrid and butterfly goalies. Combining Brian’s hallmark craftsmanship with new performance-driven innovations, the ICONIK 2 introduces a simplified single-strap system, a lighter core construction, and a newly developed Cross Flex Profile all working together to deliver a pad that feels connected, balanced, and built for speed.
External Material
The ICONIK 2 features a clean, flat-faced design with a square, dual-density outer roll for improved rigidity and puck control. Brian’s signature Opti-Slide system returns, featuring a bindingless Primo sliding surface, high-density foam construction, and a laced-in knee block — the combination that’s become the industry standard for superior slide performance. The updated ICONIK 2 graphic also introduces additional colour zones, giving goalies more freedom to personalize their look straight out of the box or through full custom orders.
Internal Construction
The pads' thin profile construction not only enhances the goaltender's sightline but also significantly reduces weight, which is huge for keeping ahead of today’s game. Inside, the BRI-CORE reinforced thigh provides added structure and stability without sacrificing weight. This Triaxle Carbon-Fibre Composite adds rigidity through the upper pad to enhance rebound consistency and maintain shape over time. The Hyperflex boot creates a soft, reactive flex that allows for smooth movement and quick transitions. Brian’s also refined the internal build (Regular Flex Core) to deliver its lightest core to date, ensuring faster leg recovery and reduced fatigue during long games.
Core Flex Profiles
The ICONIK 2 offers three unique core options so goalies can choose the feel that best matches their style:
- Regular (R): The softest and lightest flex option, featuring a mid-flex at the knee and thigh for a hybrid, reactive feel. This is Brian's lightest core ever.
- Cross (X): New for the ICONIK 2, this multi-flex core combines a soft boot, mid-flex knee, and stiff thigh to offer a responsive pad that maintains its structure over time.
- Stiff (S): The firmest option, ideal for butterfly goalies who want maximum seal and minimal flex from the lower knee through the thigh.
Boot Angle & Toe Taper
The pads use an 87° toe taper to further enhance that seal potential along the ice, while still allowing for some flexibility and additional mobility.
Knee Cradle
The knee cradle features a Velcro outer knee flap, giving goaltenders the option to choose between an open or closed cradle configuration to suit their playstyle. Additionally, the laced-in knee block allows for a consistent landing position, providing stability and reliability when making crucial saves.
Strapping
The ICONIK 2 introduces a brand-new alternative single-strap system, designed for simplicity and consistency. By merging the calf and knee straps into one integrated design, goalies achieve a snug, uniform fit through the entire leg channel with just one adjustment.
For those who prefer a traditional layout, the pad is also available with the dual-strap configuration, featuring independent calf and knee straps.
Both strapping configurations accommodate an optional upper calf anchor strap for added control and responsiveness.
At the toe, Brian’s equips the pads with their signature Smart Cord Toe Tie System, a low-profile elastic bungee setup featuring double-Velcro reinforcement and an integrated spacer for improved RVH positioning. The Smart Cord can also be easily swapped for skate lace or other preferred systems.
Colors, Sizes & Customization
At stock, the ICONIK 2 Senior Leg Pads are available in White, White/Black, and Tan/Chocolate/White colourways, and in 33+1 to 36+1 sizing.

Goalie Leg Pads Sizing
Deciding your Goalie Pads size is crucial for having total control while moving in the crease. Sizing your pads properly is the difference between getting that perfect seal on your butterfly, and feeling clunky or unprotected in the net. Below we have compiled some information to better assist you in deciding which size is right for you.
Floor-To-Knee Measurement
Your Floor-To-Knee measurement will give you a good indication as to what "Pad Size" you will need. This measurement can be matched up with the provided sizing chart above.
How to Measure your Floor-To-Knee
- 1. In your bare feet, place the soft measuring tape at the inside of the bottom of your foot.
2. Slightly bend your knee.
3. Run the soft measuring tape up your shin, to the middle of your knee.
4. Match your Floor-To-Knee measurement with the provided sizing chart
What to look for when trying on your new pads.
Once you have your new leg pads, you’ll need to make sure they fit you properly. To do so, you’ll need to put the pads on with your skates. There a couple things to do to check size, once you have the pads on:
1. Stand straight and bring your feet together. This will show you the overall height of the pad, while on. Your pads should not be taller than your hips. Ideally you want the top of your pad at the half-way point of your thighs. A pad fitted for a young growing goaltender can be a little taller, so a little above the half-way point is normal.
2. Next you want to get in your stance, keep your hands in a ready position, and drop to your butterfly. Without moving your legs to correct your butterfly, bring your heels together. This is where you assess your knee position. For a proper fit, you want the middle of your knee to sit directly on the center of the knee stack. If you’re looking for growing room, you want the middle of your knee to land roughly 1.5” below the center of the knee stack (1” for JR).
Not getting a complete seal while in your butterfly?
If you're having trouble getting a full seal in your new pads, it may be the way you’re strapping them up. Make sure your boot strap and top straps (above knee) are loosened up a bit. The reason you want these straps loose is because they have a direct effect on the rotation of the pad. Having a loose boot strap makes it easy for your foot and ankle to rotate as the pad moves. Same goes for the top straps, as you don't want them pulling down too hard on the thigh rise.
