Introducing the new ICON1K hockey goalie catcher, crafted for the mobile goaltender. This goalie set combines much of Brian’s best tech into a single package to deliver top-tier protection and agility. The catcher features a one-piece cuff, a 35° break angle, a double-T pocket, and much more.
External Material
The ICON1K catcher is made with a traditional JenPro external material, which can be found on nearly all Brian’s goalie equipment.
Break Angle
This catcher uses a 35-degree break angle, which indicates a moderately open hand position. This design provides goaltenders with a good balance between ease of closure and the ability to control pucks, making it well-suited for a wide range of playing styles and preferences. Goalies who prefer a catcher with a 35-degree break angle often find it offers a comfortable and versatile option for snagging shots.
Pocket Design
The double T pocket design offers a wide and deep pocket area for ample surface area to capture pucks securely. This pocket style is favoured for its versatility and the amount of control it is able to provide to the goalie. Complementing this, the Game Ready palm ensures that the catcher is ready for action right out of the box, providing a comfortable feel and optimal responsiveness.
Strapping
The inclusion of the adjustable pull strap, allows goaltenders to fine-tune the tension of the catcher on their hand and wrist, ensuring a consistent and personalized feel throughout the game. Additionally, the elastic thumb strap both facilitates a superior snap closure and minimizes resistance in the backhand.
Cuff Design
The one-piece cuff has a clean and open design for good mobility and a more modern look. The bindingless wrist flap and floating Hex-Air cuff further elevate the design, prioritizing mobility and comfort.

Goalie Catcher Sizing
More times than not, the fit of your Goalie Catcher is often overlooked. This is likely the result of the limited size availability compared to other pieces of equipment, however a properly sized Catcher provides you the protection and stick control you trust.
Which Catcher Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Catcher size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.
Analyzing the Catcher Fit
It is important to make sure the palm lines up properly within the catching glove, so that it can be closed without excessive force. New goalie gloves will be difficult to close initially, but through either a standard break-in process, or "baking" the catcher with our in-house convection skate ovens, they will soften over time.
*We do not recommend using any conventional in-home ovens, as the results have been very unpredictable in the past and could damage your Catcher.*
Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector.
Sizing for Growing Goaltenders
For growing goaltenders we recommend following the guidelines set above, rather than sizing up to accommodate growth. Oversized goalie gloves restrict control, especially for young developing goalies. As you climb the size ladder for Catchers, typically the glove requires more strength for pocket closure.
Which Hand Do I Need?
Figuring out which hand you need for your Catcher can be slightly confusing. Goalies generally refer to themselves as "REGULAR" or "FULL RIGHT". Below is the easiest way to simplify which hand you need.
