New for 2022 is the smaller sibling of the G-NETik V: the G-NETik X5. Brian’s really demonstrated their design capabilities in the mid-level X5 with a balanced feel, ultra-flared cuff, and bevelled nose design. The X5 looks to upgrade your game, no matter the level you play at.
External Material
The X5 blocker uses a squared board profile and Jenpro synthetic leather along the exterior. Jenpro is a premium material and classic choice for goalie gear due to its overall toughness and water resistance.
Internal Construction
As mentioned, the blocker has a squared board profile for solid rebound control and amazing balance. The bevelled nose design is ideal for paddle down saves, and it also simplifies picking up the stick and catching it, as the nose of the blocker is much less in the way.
Palm Material
The palm is made of classic Nash material with a tough Suede reinforcement along the centre where you would hold the stick. The reinforcement is grippy, making handling the stick just that much easier.
Side Hand Protection
The blocker uses a laced-in, HD foam sidewall for solid protection coupled with an elite look. The overall framework helps eliminate gaps while keeping an adequate stiffness for stopping the puck. The sidewall is also equipped with an adjustable velcro anchor strap for enhanced sidewall stability.
Cuff
Brian’s implemented their ultra-flared cuff design for increased range of motion and mobility while ensuring the blocker doesn’t get in the way of the chest and arm protector. The cuff area is also equipped with a traditional velcro wrist strapping system to enhance the feel and simplify the process.
Hand Protection
The fingers are protected by two large HD forefinger protectors that wrap around the fingers and are attached with elastic strapping. The hinged HD molded thumb protection is also fixated to the fingers with elastic strapping and provides additional cushioning in that area. Do note that this blocker does not have extra index finger protection on top of the standard protectors.

More times than not, the fit of your Goalie Blocker is often overlooked. This is likely the result of the limited size availability compared to other pieces of equipment, however a properly sized Blocker provides you the protection and stick control you trust.
Which Blocker Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Blocker size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.
Analyzing the Blocker Fit
It is important to ensure that the fingers tips lie close to the seam of the palm, or within 0.5” if the Blocker is for a young growing goaltender. Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector. You also want to ensure that the goalie can maintain control of their stick in addition to being able to maneuver the blocker when handling the puck.

Figuring out which hand you need for your Blocker can be slightly confusing. Goalies generally refer to themselves as "REGULAR" or "FULL RIGHT". Below is the easiest way to simplify which hand you need.
