External Material
The X5 blocker uses a squared board profile and Jenpro synthetic leather along the exterior. Jenpro is a premium material and classic choice for goalie gear due to its overall toughness and water resistance.
Internal Construction
As mentioned, the blocker has a squared board profile for solid rebound control and amazing balance. The bevelled nose design is ideal for paddle down saves, and it also simplifies picking up the stick and catching it, as the nose of the blocker is much less in the way.

More times than not, the fit of your Goalie Blocker is often overlooked. This is likely the result of the limited size availability compared to other pieces of equipment, however a properly sized Blocker provides you the protection and stick control you trust.
Which Blocker Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Blocker size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.
Analyzing the Blocker Fit
It is important to ensure that the fingers tips lie close to the seam of the palm, or within 0.5” if the Blocker is for a young growing goaltender. Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector. You also want to ensure that the goalie can maintain control of their stick in addition to being able to maneuver the blocker when handling the puck.
