Intro & New Features
New to 2024 is the Brian's ECLIPSE Senior Goalie Blocker. Featuring a lightweight and balanced design, bri-core board reinforcement, a wide cuff opening, and a smart dial strapping system, this blocker has all the key pieces of an elite-level blocker. Available in a variety of colors and only regular option, this blocker can be the perfect choice for you.
External Material
The ECLIPSE blocker is made with a traditional JenPro external material, which can be found on nearly all Brian's goalie equipment.
Internal Construction
Brian’s incorporated a flared upper blocker board design to enhance control over rebounds. The redesigned squared blocker board, now ultra-lightweight with enhanced balance, showcases a thinned profile and promotes a neutral hand position, ensuring optimal maneuverability for goalies. Additionally, the Bri-Core Triaxle carbon fibre composite reinforced blocker board introduces a significant level of rigidity, providing goaltenders with the confidence and stability they need to face even the most powerful shots.
Palm Material
The palm of the ECLIPSE blocker is made up of a Nash material to allow for good comfort and grip. The nash palm is a classic option used across all equipment, and it will help you hold onto the stick well.
Side Hand Protection
The redesigned, ultra-rigid HD sidewall, internally laced for added reinforcement, offers an extra layer of defense against powerful shots, ensuring that goalies can confidently deflect pucks away from the net at multiple angles without compromising safety. Additionally, the blocker includes a removable thumb pillow secured with Velcro between the thumb and blocker palm, providing customizable comfort and protection.
Cuff
The one-piece cuff has a clean and open design for good mobility and a more modern look. The bindingless wrist flap and floating Hex-Air cuff further elevate the design, prioritizing mobility and comfort.
Hand Protection
The blocker uses padded fixed fingers for solid coverage and protection, particularly in the paddle-down position. In addition, the blocker features a deep thumb notch with a redesigned thumb opening and a reinforced patch to reduce friction and restriction significantly when moving.
Colors & Customization
At stock, the ECLIPSE blocker comes in White, Black, White/Black, White/Black/Red, White/Sport Gold/Blue, White/Navy/Ice Blue, White/Blue/Red, and White/Blue. More options for customization are available on Brian's website.

Goalie Blockers Sizing
More times than not, the fit of your Goalie Blocker is often overlooked. This is likely the result of the limited size availability compared to other pieces of equipment, however a properly sized Blocker provides you the protection and stick control you trust.
Which Blocker Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Blocker size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.
Analyzing the Blocker Fit
It is important to ensure that the fingers tips lie close to the seam of the palm, or within 0.5” if the Blocker is for a young growing goaltender. Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector. You also want to ensure that the goalie can maintain control of their stick in addition to being able to maneuver the blocker when handling the puck.
Which Hand Do I Need?
Figuring out which hand you need for your Blocker can be slightly confusing. Goalies generally refer to themselves as "REGULAR" or "FULL RIGHT". Below is the easiest way to simplify which hand you need.
- Blocker Hands Simplified
- Regular - Blocker worn on your Right Hand
- Full Right - Blocker worn on your Left Hand
