Intermediate shaft fit, 9 inches of added length.
These are Blue Sports wood butt ends, the inexpensive way to add length to a composite stick. The plug slides into the hollow top of the shaft, fills it and glues in place, and from there the stick is simply longer. Wood weighs more than a composite plug, but the butt of the stick is the least sensitive place to carry a bit of weight, and the price is a fraction of a carbon plug.
Three things decide which one you want: the division of your stick, how much length you are adding, and how much you plan to cut off. Junior, intermediate and senior shafts are different sizes inside, so the butt end has to match the stick or it will not seat properly. Lengths run 8 inches and 12 inches for senior shafts, 9 inches for intermediate and 8 inches for junior. Any of them cuts down with a saw like a shaft, so the longer one is the safer buy if you are not sure how much you need.
Dried glue is already applied, which makes the install heat, seat and let it cool, with no epoxy to mix. These suit players who have grown out of a stick, anyone who cut a shaft short, and parents who would rather extend a stick than replace it.
Material: Wood
Lengths: 8", 9", 12"
Fits: Junior, intermediate and senior composite sticks
Adhesive: Dried glue pre-applied
Cut down: Yes, trims like a shaft
Match the butt end to the division of your stick first. Junior, intermediate and senior shafts are different inside, and a plug that does not match will not seat. Then pick the length: 8 inches and 12 inches for senior shafts, 9 inches for intermediate, 8 inches for junior. Any of them can be cut shorter before gluing, so if you are between lengths take the longer one.
