Designed for the developing player, the Bauer Vapor X200 Youth hockey skates offer essential support and comfort across key areas to help keep young players enjoying the game more and for longer. In addition to ensuring comfort, the skates have been created to last with durable materials and construction.
The skates come in a size 10 (youth) and R width (slightly wider than D/standard). The R fit helps shape the skates to most kids’ feet.
The boot is made of premium nylon, a material often used in hockey gear for its longevity. The footbed uses shaped EVA foam for comfort and good weight reduction, and the outsole is injected with TPR foam to add support.
Bauer designed these skates to have anatomical heel and ankle support for young players, so they can feel comfortable in their gear and will want to play more. The inside is lined with a microfiber liner to wick away moisture and repel odour and bacteria, keeping the skates fresher for longer.
The tongue is made of anatomically shaped felt to fit the skate around the young player’s foot. Felt is a common material used for skate tongues because of its cushioning feel and properties.
The Vapor X200 Youth skates use a TUUK Lightspeed Pro blade holder with a TUUK stainless steel runner. The combination of this particular holder and steel ensures the skates last all throughout the beginning development stages of the player’s hockey career.
The Vapor X200 skates brandish an earlier look of Bauer’s Vapor family, using a black main colouration with red and silver accents. The striped designs appear metallic and reminiscent of the namesake “Vapor.” Bauer’s text logo can be found on the sides and tongue, while the Vapor text logo can be found on the tendon guard.
