Bauer Vapor 2X Pro, Minnesota WildThis custom Bauer Vapor 2X Pro goalie set is a pro return from NHL goalie Devan Dubnyk. This is a full set including leg pads, catcher, and blocker and has been outfitted with Dubnyk’s specs and preferences, including various custom features and Minnesota Wild graphics. Please note that this gear is built slightly larger than standard XL pads and gear.
Leg Pad Construction
The leg pads in this set have a
Vapor 1X Pro construction.
These leg pads take the construction of an older pad with some newer custom features. Over a Supreme 1S skin, the Minnesota Wild graphics and colours come together beautifully. Its Vapor 1X construction is evident in the old school knee block and custom 1X leg channel. The pads have an additional larger knee flap, upgrading it from the old 1X Pro, as well as XXL Tune Fit straps, large calf wings, and a custom precurve.
Blocker Construction
The blocker in this set has a
Supreme 2S Pro construction.
The first thing you may notice on the Dubnyk blocker is the slightly larger XL+ custom palm, which will be perfect for goalies with larger hands. The blocker matches the leg pads perfectly and stays true to the Supreme 2S Pro construction, with the addition of Poron XRD foam in the finger protection.
Catcher Construction
The catcher in this set has a
Vapor 2X Pro construction.
One major feature of the Dubnyk catcher is the custom break angle, which is close to a 60° angle, or 590 break. The glove comes with a custom (big) wrist strap to accommodate larger hands, as well as a custom liner without the Catch Grip for a smoother feel.
