This custom Bauer Vapor Hyperlite goalie set is a pro return from NHL goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy. The set includes a catcher and blocker and has been outfitted with Vasilevskiy’s specs and preferences, including different constructs, Tampa Bay Lightning graphics, and Vasilevskiy’s exclusive logo.
Blocker Construction
The blocker in this set has a Supreme Ultrasonic construction.
Although the blocker adorns Hyperlite graphics, it is, in actuality, a Supreme Ultrasonic blocker. This is made evident by the sideboard, cuff, and overall construction. The glove portion uses a Pro Palm for additional security, and you can find Vasilevskiy's logo sitting big and bold under the board by the cuff.
Catcher Construction
The catcher in this set has a Supreme Ultrasonic construction.
Vasilevskiy selected quite a good number of custom features on the catcher for this set. Like the blocker, it wears Hyperlite graphics with an Ultrasonic construction. The backhand opening is reversed, meaning the velcro opening has been placed on the left and not the right, as it normally is. The backhand and cuff have some additional padding for increased protection; however, it's good to note that the glove has no Poron XRD foam anywhere in its construction, unlike the standard Ultrasonic. The catcher uses a game ready palm, as well as waxed skate laces in the pocket, and has a 75° break angle, or a 600 break.
