This is Bauer's Vapor butt end plug for 30 flex junior sticks. A butt end plug fits into the hollow top of a shaft and glues in place, filling the open end and giving the stick more length. It is moulded to the Vapor profile, so it matches the inside shape of a Vapor shaft. A plug cut for a different stick family, or for a different flex, will not seat squarely, which is why the series and flex on the label matter.
The 30 flex sticks are the smallest junior shafts, so this plug is slimmer than the senior and intermediate versions. Check the flex printed on your stick before ordering. The plug measures 4 inches, which is the most length it can add, and it can be cut down with a saw to the amount you want before you glue it in.
It uses the same TeXtreme carbon fibre as the sticks, so the extension stays light at the butt of the stick. The glue is already dried onto the plug, so the install is heat it, seat it and let it cool. This is a tidy way to get another season out of a stick a young player has grown past, instead of moving straight to the next size up.
