The FlyPro shoulder pads feature low profile caps with a HyperLite foam cover. This design improves protection on the shoulder from impacts, keeping the players protected while the HyperLite foam cover provides an additional layer of durability to the pads, keeping them in shape for longer.Sternum Protection
As the Vapor line moves away from the X-LITE shield in the sternum area for protection, they have introduced a new design. The floating sternum design optimizes protection and mobility. With this design, the sternum can move independently, adapting to the player’s body movements providing a secure yet flexible fit. Additionally, the use of CURV composite material in this area ensures that the protection remains lightweight without compromising on safety. The front panel of the shoulder pads also incorporates molded HyperLite foam, which offers the advantage of being water-resistant, preventing absorption and maintaining a lightweight feel throughout the game.Spine Protection

Hockey Shoulder Pads Sizing Information
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.
Sizing after Purchase
Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit.
1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.
- This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
- Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.
If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
