The FlyLite shoulder pads feature low profile caps with a DC tech foam insert. This provides players with comfort and protection when taking impacts, while also being comfortable. The Hyperlite foam cover can be seen on the outside of the caps and it provides an additional layer of protection, while also providing durability to the shoulder caps overall.Sternum Protection
The highest-end Vapor shoulder pads have evolved from the X-LITE shield protector to a floating sternum protector. The floating sternum features CURV composite material which provides the shoulder pads with a durable construction, the player with reliable protection, and an overall lightweight feel and build.Spine Protection
The back of the shoulder pads feature a molded spine protection with PE foam inserts. This design provides players with protection and coverage in the key areas so keep them safe, but also protected and secured from all impacts.Bicep Protection

Hockey Shoulder Pads Sizing Information
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.
Sizing after Purchase
Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit.
1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.
- This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
- Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.
If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
