Bauer displays their proficiency in goalie gear development with the release of the new Supreme Mach goalie collection. Featuring a Catchlite palm, carbon CURV reinforcement, a new Range of Motion cuff (R.O.M.), and Poron XRD foam, the new Mach catcher is set to up your game to the next level.

External Material
Carrying over from the Ultrasonic is the Catchlite palm, which is an upgraded, jenpro-like material that is a bit thicker for greater durability while still enabling easy closure and break-in. Catchgrip+ has also been implemented along the inside liner for a better feel and more control when catching with a fingers-to-thumb closure.

One major upgrade that was applied to the Mach collection was the new SL1D3R skin. This pad skin is present over the leg pads and blocker, and on the catcher, it can be found over the cuff and thumb. SL1D3R skin reinforces the gear on shots and ensures your catcher lasts longer.

Break Angle
The Mach catcher uses Supreme’s 75-degree break angle, which focuses primarily on a fingertip-to-thumb closure. This further translates to a wider catch surface when opening the glove during play.

Pocket Design
The double-T pocket design supports the wide-open palm design since it naturally allows for greater openness and freedom in the hand. The wider pocket also makes it easier to track the puck, since it’s easier to see through the extra pocket rather than the leather T present in single-T variants.

Bauer also added Rebound Control Foam and Poron XRD to further deaden pucks and make the catch easier. Poron XRD has amazing absorbent and lightweight properties, which is what makes this foam ideal for protection and rebound control.

Strapping
Bauer added a neoprene leverage strap to enhance that full opening in the thumb portion. The glove also includes a Range of Motion strap (R.O.M.) that is designed to keep the catcher strapped to your hand while allowing for good movement in the wrist. It is designed to lock on comfortably and closer up on your hand, which is how it can offer so much wrist movement.

Cuff Design
The one-piece cuff has been furnished with a square, free-flex backcover cuff with a carbon CURV composite reinforcement over the perimeter. The back cover is both protective and floating, providing elite protection while permitting your wrist a good amount of space to move around in. The addition of the CURV composite reinforcement increases the catcher’s degree of protection and durability.

Goalie Catcher Sizing

More times than not, the fit of your Goalie Catcher is often overlooked. This is likely the result of the limited size availability compared to other pieces of equipment, however a properly sized Catcher provides you the protection and stick control you trust.

Which Catcher Size is for you?
The first step to finding the correct Catcher size is to utilize the “heel-of-palm-to-tip-of-middle-finger” measurement. This measurement will generally send you to the appropriate size you need.

Analyzing the Catcher Fit
It is important to make sure the palm lines up properly within the catching glove, so that it can be closed without excessive force. New goalie gloves will be difficult to close initially, but through either a standard break-in process, or "baking" the catcher with our in-house convection skate ovens, they will soften over time.
*We do not recommend using any conventional in-home ovens, as the results have been very unpredictable in the past and could damage your Catcher.*

Next you want to ensure the adjustable wrist strap goes directly across the wrist bone, and has minimal to no interference with your chest protector. The goaltender should be able to swivel their wrist to accommodate a range of save selections without any restrictions from the chest protector.

Sizing for Growing Goaltenders
For growing goaltenders we recommend following the guidelines set above, rather than sizing up to accommodate growth. Oversized goalie gloves restrict control, especially for young developing goalies. As you climb the size ladder for Catchers, typically the glove requires more strength for pocket closure.

Which Hand Do I Need?
Figuring out which hand you need for your Catcher can be slightly confusing. Goalies generally refer to themselves as "REGULAR" or "FULL RIGHT". Below is the easiest way to simplify which hand you need.

    Goalie Catcher Hands Simplified
  • Regular - Catcher worn on your Left Hand
  • Full Right - Catcher worn on your Right Hand
