External Material
Bauer has updated their external material on the Supreme goalie line, opting for a more durable material they call their SL1D3R skin, This external covering is a one-piece molded design that provides better sliding, increased rebound pop, and improved durability.
Internal Construction
The Rebound Boost Core returns from previous models of Bauer leg pads, and offers enhanced rebound control for goalie. The foams used in this core provide a specific level of stiffness and resilience, which helps absorb initial impact, and then quickly return that energy back outwards. This results in a more predictable and consistent rebound, allowing goalies to make quicker recoveries and be better positioned for follow-up shots. The Fuse leg pads also feature a CURV Composite reinforced thigh rise. This core is stiffer and is designed to boost rebound speed while remaining light and true to the feel of a stiff pad.
Pad Break
The Fuse goalie leg pads are designed with a Flex profile 3 pad break. This creative design increases flexibility, enabling goalies to react to shots faster and move more fluidly. The Fuse leg pads redefine performance between the pipes by emphasizing agility and control, giving goalies the advantage they need to control the game.
Boot Angle & Toe Taper
Bauer constructed these leg pads to feature a deep channel, mid-flex boot angle. A deep channel and mid-flex boot angle on goalie leg pads are designed to optimize pad rotation, provide a secure fit, and enhance mobility in modern butterfly-style goaltending. A deep channel offers greater pad control, while a mid-flex boot aids in butterfly pushes and allows the pad to sit comfortably on the skate.
Knee Block
As previously seen on other generations of Bauer Supreme leg pads, the Fuse leg pads feature Bauer’s Stabilislide technology. This knee block design uses a bracket to mount to the core of the pad creating a rigid slide surface that has a much more stable feel in the butterfly.
Strapping System
The calf lock strapping system on the Fuse leg pads are designed to secure the goalie’s leg to the pad, allowing for consistent rotation, improved control in the butterfly, and a better seal with the ice.
Calf Guard
The Calf Support System 2.0 is enhanced with a new width for superior comfort and support. This innovative design ensures goalies stay protected and agile throughout the game. The lower single bracket features SL1D3R skin and a calf pillow providing stability, control and comfort with every movement.
