Serving players since 1988.Intro & New Features
Innovative, comfortable, and highly protective is what Bauer had in mind when designing the Supreme Fuse line of shoulder pads. This shoulder pad is designed to offer unparalleled protection against impacts in all directions while still allowing for lots of maneuverability. Featuring a new molded Adaptiv Rib, Vent-SHIELD spine protection, and extended arch inserts to provide players with protection in all areas while on the ice.
Shoulder Caps & Protection
The shoulders feature full coverage caps that move with the player as they are on the ice. With the AMP (Active Motion Performance) design that Bauer incorporated into the shoulder caps, it enhances mobility and responsiveness. These AMP caps are engineered to be lightweight and adapt dynamically to the player’s range of motion, providing reliable protection against impacts while keeping the shoulder pads lightweight and responsive.
Sternum Protection
The sternum area of the Supreme Fuse pads feature a floating design that optimizes protection and mobility. With this design, the sternum can move independently, adapting to the player’s body movements and providing a secure yet flexible fit. Bauer features the use of CURV Composite material in this area to ensure that the protection remains lightweight without compromising on safety. The front panel of the shoulder pads feature a new Adaptiv Rib protection design, This construction allows the body to move, while keeping the padding in place, leaving players protected and secure at all times.
Spine Protection
The spine uses a molded spine with Vent-Shield protection. This is a durable layer that provides protection from impacts, while keeping the players safe. The full coverage ventilated vest with the Adaptiv Rib wraps around the torso to keep the padding in place while players move on the ice. The arch also features integrated molded PE with HD foam inserts that are designed to provide an additional level of protection for players.
Bicep Protection
The biceps showcase Active Motion Protection split bicep technology, which enables players to move their arms freely, enhancing their range of motion during gameplay, without compromising protection. The pads also incorporate molded CURV Composite material for reliable protection and a lightweight design that you can expect from top-of-the-line hockey gear.
Liner
The shoulder pads feature Bauer’s Thermocore Zero liner, specifically designed to manage sweat and odors, ensuring a fresh feel throughout the entire game. It is not only designed to wick away moisture, but it also regulates temperature within the pads, keeping you nice and cool.

Hockey Shoulder Pads Sizing Information
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for a properly sized shoulder pad, you will need a soft tape measurer to measure and record your chest measurement. To do this, find the widest point of your chest (usually just below your armpits) and measure the circumference. Record the measurement in inches and compare to the available sizing charts in each brand. Also compare your height, weight and age to find your best fit.
Sizing after Purchase
Once you have received your new shoulder pad, stand in front of a mirror and strap them on. You will want to check the follow criteria to ensure a proper and protective fit.
1. The tips of your shoulder are sitting directly under the middle of the shoulder cap. If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap.
- This is important because if the shoulder cap does not sit in the correct position, your clavicles, shoulders, and upper arms can become more susceptible to injury.
- Adjust the bicep guards using the Velcro straps located underneath the shoulder caps (if applicable). At the highest point, the bicep guards should not be more than halfway down the upper arm. This is important because they can interfere with your elbow pads, throwing off the fit.
If you are checking sizing for a child, it is ok for the tips of their shoulder to be under the inner half of the cap and not directly in line with the middle.
