Introducing the all-new, cutting edge Bauer Re-AKT 3D Hockey Helmet. A new member to the Re-AKT family, it has many key features that make it a top-of-the-line helmet including an ADAPTiV Lattice to contour to players heads providing complete contact and comfort, 3-D printed GX-pods to provide an additional level of support and mitigate impacts and a free-from adjustment system to customize the length and width of how your helmet fits.
Outer Shell Construction
The helmet base is made with Aerolite technology, an innovative 3D molded wrap that offers a contoured fit around the head for a closer fit while still minimizing uncomfortable pressure points. The Aerolite base also excels at mitigating high-energy impacts, providing an added layer of protection to keep players safe during intense gameplay.
Internal Foams & Liner
A big addition to the Re-AKT helmet is the ADAPTiV Lattice technology. It is designed to provide comfort and protection by adapting to both the player's head shape and type of impact, providing a full connection to the head at all times. Bauer also added 3-D printed pods for protection against head injuries. The GX-Pod 2 focuses on mitigating low, mid, and high energy impacts while adding comfort and ventilation.
Fit & Sizing Adjustment
With the FreeForm Adjustment System, every player can fine-tune the helmet’s fit to their unique preferences. This advanced adjustment system has been upgraded from previous models and features an independent length and width adjustment to create a more customized fit for all head shapes and keeping the helmet secure on your head. This system is coupled with an occipital lock, which further ensures an Elite-level fit that keeps the helmet securely in place. It is suggested that the dials on the FreeForm system be adjusted first before fixing the Occipital lock in place.
Certification
The Bauer Re-AKT 3D helmet is certified with HECC (Hockey Equipment Certification Council), CSA (Canadian Standards Association), and the CE (European Community) certification. These stickers indicate their compliance with the applicable standards in different leagues.

Hockey Helmet Sizing
Bauer Hockey Helmet Fit
These helmets tend to fit narrower in width and very standard in length. Bauer helmets tend to be a very middle of the road approach in shape and fit a large majority of heads. For players that have a narrower head these helmets will be very comfortable.
Sizing before Purchase
To fit for your proper sized helmet you will need a soft tape measure. Take this tape measure and have another person snugly wrap it around your head at the largest point, usually just above the eyebrows (see left). Record this measurement of circumference and compare it to the available sizing charts in the brand of helmet you are looking at.
Sizing after Purchase
To ensure a good fit after you have received your proper sized helmet, flip open and unlock the helmet clip(s) and slide the helmet to its last and largest setting. Position it on the head so the rim is one finger width above the eyebrow. Gradually begin to downsize the helmet, pressing on the front and back until a comfortable, snug fit is achieved. Lock the helmet into this size by pressing down and closing the locking adjustment(s). Look in a mirror while wearing the helmet to make sure the ear guards are covering at least half of your ear and to make sure the helmet does not appear to be shifting back and forth on your head.
It is recommended to use a mouth guard although not required. It is recommended that players wear HECC and CE Certified helmets and in Hockey Canada sanctioned leagues it is required for helmets to be CSA approved. CSA, HECC and CE Certified stickers are fixed to the helmets indicating their certification.
