This is Bauer's FLC travel jacket, an insulated shell for getting to the rink and standing around outside it. It is windproof and water resistant, with PrimaLoft Black Eco fill at 80g, so it handles a cold parking lot without the bulk of a winter parka.
Construction
The fabric is 94% polyester with spandex, so it moves with you instead of binding across the shoulders. A YKK two-way zipper runs up the centre front with hidden rubber snaps over it, and YKK zippers close the side pockets and an inside chest pocket. The hood is a three-piece build, which sits around the head better than a flat two-panel hood does. An inner storm cuff seals the sleeve at the wrist, and a vent at the back hem keeps the jacket from pulling tight when you sit down.
The cut is Bauer's tapered hockey fit, so it is closer through the waist than a straight-cut jacket. The sleeve logo is embossed rather than printed, and a heavy duty logo locker loop at the inside neck means it hangs in a dressing room instead of ending up on the floor.
It suits team travel, cold rink lobbies and parking lots, and anyone who wants one jacket that works for hockey and for the rest of the week.
