Extreme Flex 2 Leg Pads front In 2013, one of the biggest brand names in goaltending history returned when the CCM name debuted the Extreme-Flex Pro pads on the legs of Carey Price. On April 10th, 2015 the good folks at CCM launched the Extreme-Flex Pro 2 series and have raised the bar yet again with the most flexible pad in their lineup. While still retaining the familiar feel of the extremely popular E-Flex Pro, the E-Flex 2’s bring everything together in a lighter, more flexible, and more stylish package. Extreme Flex 2 Leg Pads on ice butterfly The Extreme-Flex Pro pad was a step into unfamiliar territory for Reebok/CCM as their extremely successful Reebok Premier leg pads over all the years were designed for goalies looking for the the opposite of soft rebounds and more flex in their pads. The original E-Flex leg pad was an undisputed success and that winning formula continues on into the E-Flex 2’s. The newly released pad brings a few nice improvement and changes, starting with a 10% weight decrease due to the newly devised strapping on the pad. With the boot strap no longer going directly through the boot and less overall strapping on the thigh area of the pad, not only does this new strapping system help with weight, but it also helps to close the five hole quicker. Allowing the boot to flex considerably more than the previous pad benefits goalies by worrying less about getting their foot to the exact right position and allows them to take advantage of a more natural position and get every ounce of power out of your pushes. Wrapping up, the E-Flex 2 leg pad is the perfect blend of maintaining the original E-Flex pad with its exceptional soft pad style, while adding new design benefits that allow it to perform at a heightened level.
