Warrior Ritual X3 Goal Pant Review
Warrior’s pants are built like no other on the market, with a focus on coverage and mobility they’re able to offer a pant that has superior protection and range of motion. This is all thanks to innovative technologies such as AxyCut and Flex Plates as well as materials like Hypercomp.
Flex Plates
The X3 pants use a Flex Plate design that splits the hip and thigh protection into 3 pieces. The front and side of the hip are separate from one another and from the thigh board allowing for maximum flexibility and mobility while allowing these plates to overlap and work together to eliminate any gaps in padding found in more traditional pants. The whole system utilizes Warrior’s Hypercomp construction which offers great protection and durability while keeping the overall weight of the pant down.
Thigh Protection
Through the use of their Flex Plate system, Warrior was able to create a thigh board that maximizes coverage without sacrificing mobility. The Ritual X3 pants have a wide, barrel style fit around the leg that doesn’t interfere with leg and knee pad integration due to an innovative AxyCut design that tapers at the corners of the pant. Compared to the previous generation X2 pant, the X3 has a streamlined thigh board that gives goalies much better mobility than previously seen from Warrior pants without taking away from the coverage they were so well known for.
AxyCut Technology
AxyCut technology is an innovative design from Warrior that effectively eliminates bunching and interference between the pants and leg pads. The two front corners of the pant are cut at an angle to reduce excess material where it isn’t needed allowing Warrior to make a pant that maximizes thigh width while ensuring seamless integration and mobility.
Knee Pad Attachment
Designed to work with Warrior’s knee pads, the X3 pants have an attachment where the knee pads can be laced into the pant legs in order to prevent slippage and shifting during play.
Internal Belt System
An easily adjustable and fully removable internal belt allows for a more customizable fit by giving goalies the ability to have a pant that can sit looser on the exterior while the internal belt keeps the pant snug on the hips. This is perfect for goalies who like to tuck in their chest guard while also giving goalies who wear their chest protector over top of their pants the option to tighten the exterior of the pant to minimize interference between the two pieces.
Waist Design
Unlike many other pants on the market, the Ritual X3 features a slightly taller, more tapered waist which is ideal for goalies that tuck their chest guard in as it provides less of an opportunity for the chest to pop out of the pants during play. The tapered design also works well for goalies who wear their chest guard over top of their pants as it can sit closer to the body to minimize interference. The taller waist also provides superior protection in the kidney areas while not having any negative effects on mobility nor range of motion.

Warrior’s Ritual X3 pants are a must try when shopping for new pants. Thanks to a removable internal belt system they’re able to fit comfortably no matter how you wear your chest protector. Flex Plate technology and AxyCut design allow for maximum mobility without sacrificing protection and coverage. Warrior ensures long lasting protection through the use of quality materials such as Hypercomp and a leather binding that wraps around the bottom of the pant to protect it from velcro and other sources of abrasion that can occur when integrating with knee and leg pads.
