Here at The Hockey Shop, we recently had the pleasure of teaming up with CCM to celebrate the game of women’s ice hockey and launch their new FTW Launch Event protective line! It was a night filled with tons of fun, contests, prizes, and lots of passion, and we are so excited to share the highlights of the event!
Swag Bags for All!
The excitement started off right away as all of our guests were treated to some awesome Jetspeed FTW swag bags courtesy of CCM. Inside they found FTW scrunchies and FTW socks setting the tone for an evening full of fun and giveaways!

The swag bags were just the beginning of the night's excitement. Guests were thrilled to receive these exclusive goodies, each item a nod to the innovative Jetspeed FTW line. The scrunchies and socks not only showcased the brand's commitment to style and functionality but also served as perfect souvenirs from the event. These small tokens set the stage for an evening where everyone felt like a VIP, and the atmosphere was charged with anticipation for the fun and surprises that were yet to come.
Prizes and Contests Galore!
The fun continued on throughout the store, offering ample opportunity to win prizing ranging from specialized stickers to coupons to FTW sticks! Every ticket purchase automatically entered guests into a draw for the grand prize of a full set of FTW gear! There were even more sticks given to more lucky winners and one even got to walk home with a stick that was signed and taped by our special guest, Jessie Eldridge of PWHL New York.
We had a fully branded FTW shooting room with two lanes set up for our attendees to really get a feel for the new product by taking a few shots! While you were waiting to get into the shooting lanes you were able to put your stickhandling skills to the test by trying to rack up the points on our Game Changer training system!
The excitement in the store was palpable as guests eagerly participated in various contests and prize draws. Specialized stickers, valuable coupons, and coveted FTW sticks were just a few of the prizes up for grabs. Each ticket purchase entered guests into a grand prize draw for a full set of FTW gear, adding to the thrill of the night. The highlight for many was the chance to win a stick signed and taped by Jessie Eldridge herself, a treasured keepsake from the event.
The FTW shooting room, complete with two lanes, allowed attendees to test the new product firsthand, making it a hands-on and engaging experience. While waiting for their turn in the shooting lanes, guests showcased their stickhandling prowess on the Game Changer training system, adding an element of friendly competition and skill development to the festivities.
The Fun Continues
Need a refreshment in between all of the contests and shooting? We had a wicked menu of specialty mocktails named after PWHL players and a bunch of snacks! The drinks consisted of the Victoria Kombacha, Jessie Spritzridge, and Ambrosemary spritz! They paired perfectly with some popcorn, pretzels and nuts! After stopping by the bar for some treats, grab some FTW props and pose for a picture to capture the excitement!
Expert Advice and Fittings!
For those who are eager to put all of the new technology and gear to the test, our staff here at the Hockey Shop as well as the CCM representatives were around to size guests into correctly fitting equipment, explaining why and how this protective line elevates your game! Our CCM reps were super helpful in educating the next generation of hockey players and hockey parents, inspiring them and encouraging them to keep playing with confidence!

The hands-on demonstrations and personalized fittings for FTW gear were a major highlight of the evening. Our knowledgeable staff and CCM representatives worked tirelessly to ensure each guest found the perfect fit for their new gear, providing detailed explanations on the benefits and advancements of the Jetspeed FTW protective line. We were so honoured to be able to sit down with PWHL New York’s Jessie Eldridge as she shared her journey from minor to pro hockey. Explaining the excitement of playing in the PWHL’s first ever inaugural season inspired everyone in the room through her knowledge and passion. Her presence was super important as we could show our local women's hockey community a true representation of the growth and potential of female hockey.
