CCM Tacks 710 Helmet

The CCM Tacks 710 player’s helmet is CCM’s update to the Resistance line of helmets. Drawing from the protective materials and philosophies found throughout the CCM Tacks equipment, CCM has brought some proven technologies into their next generation helmet, all while keeping the fit and form that makes their helmets some of the most comfortable and protective on the market.

D3O and R.E.D System Liner

Back this year is the R.E.D and Impact system, developed by Oblique Technology and the University of Ottawa. The Rotational Energy Dampening system are a series of liquid filled bladders that sit between the helmet liner and shell, absorbing and dispersing the force of different impacts by spreading it through the helmet, mitigating all types of impacts. Each R.E.D bladder is topped with a pro-style VN foam impact pod that further reduces the energy from primary and secondary impacts.

Making an appearance to tighten up the defence is the D3O Lite Smart Material found throughout a large majority of CCM’s protective equipment. A lightweight, pro-level smart foam that increases the comfort and protection of the helmet, complimenting the R.E.D system and providing a comprehensive defence from a wide range and degrees of impacts in this new helmet.

I.Q.Shion Foam

The new I.Q.Shion foam provides a premium level of memory-foam-like comfort, holding the helmet firmly in place on your head while retaining a secure, custom comfort feel. This foam is found throughout the helmet, lining the impact pods and serving as a hydrophobic layer to keep the helmet dry and fresh throughout the game.

Tool-Free Adjustment

The simple tool-free adjustment found on the Resistance line of helmets makes its way to the Tacks 710 helmet, providing an easy-to access adjustment snap at the back of the helmet for a customized fit. The two adjustment segments on the back of the helmet allow you to adjust both length and occipital adjustment in one easy step.

Shell

The familiar shell of the Resistance returns in the Tacks 710 helmet, with the pro-preferred look and shell geometry designed to help absorb impacts as a first line of defence. Large arrays of vents provide a solid degree of ventilation, keeping you cool and dry throughout your game.

Protection at Prices

The 710 helmet’s younger brother, the Tacks 310, provides an impressive degree of protection for a more affordable price point. The same pro-style shell, D3O Lite Smart Material padding, impact pods and I.Q.Shion memory foam makes an appearance in the wallet-friendly helmet, keeping up with CCM’s high quality degree of protectiveness.
