CCM decided to test out some new design elements with the QuickLite elbow pad. The successful three-piece design seen on the RBZ elbow pad is back, so you can expect that uncompromised fit with improved mobility as well as enhanced comfort. What separates the QuickLite from the RBZ is the construction of a new cap design featuring an improved dome shape that disperses the energy of the impact around the elbow joint, instead of directly impacting the joint itself. This concept aims to reduce the amount of injury seen in today’s game and to aid the overall protection of the player.
Molded HD foams as well as patented Zotefoam help protect the bicep along with Ventshield to increase breathability of the elbow pad. The forearm includes extended supplemental protection that other elbow pads on the market rarely include. To ensure the elbow pad stays locked in position throughout a game, CCM went with a three strap system. Enhancing a comfortable fit with more customization is always something you look for in protective gear, and CCM hit the mark here.
