It’s time to return to play and we want you to be able to hit the ice with confidence knowing that you’re improving your protection from contamination, your teammates’, and even your opponents’. With the Game On Mask, players have an added protective barrier that also increases the protection from contamination of those around them, all while maintaining the breathability needed for on-ice play. With three adjustable anchor points, fit, feel and visibility can be tailored to the player while ensuring the lower face is always covered. #ALLOUT Protection to keep you in the game!

Water-Proof Coverage
Level 3 Water Resistance Protection (Highest standard from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health). Adjustable anchor points form a protective cavity to keep the nose and mouth covered.

Breathability
Openings on both sides of the mask allow for effective new air exchange, and circulation through the mask for uncompromised performance. This makes it suitable for active play. The attachment at the base of the cage/shield (behind the chin cup) creates separation between the mask and the lower portion of the face, allowing for greater breathability.

Airflow
Adjustable fit of the FV1 and Game On Mask limits moisture build up and blurring of the shield. Design and compatibility with shield or cage optimizes air flow.

  • 3 adjustable anchor points
  • Slide through the holes at the sides and base of the shield or cage
  • Velcro anchors for easy adjustment and secure attachment
  • Mask sits along the top of the nose and cheeks and extends down to back of the chin cup.

I bought the goalie version

I bought the goalie version of this. It actually doesn't bother me. I can breath well and vision is not obstructed. Easy to install and take off. Has an extra loop. Still don't know what it's for. Maybe dangler. But it's good

Breathable, no fogging issues, easy to wash and attach

I've tried both this mask and the Bauer concept 3 splashguard. In all fairness to Bauer, I don't have the Concept 3 visor cage but I did attach it as one would imagine it should be attached. I couldn't breath with the concept 3 splashguard at all. It was too flimsy for my liking, more $$, and not as easy to wash.

The CCM mask however, totally breathable. Easy to attach to your cage and machine-washable. I skated hard and didn't feel winded by it at all. I have it paired with a visor cage and it didn't fog up my cage either. I recommend it! Honestly, it wasn't even a big deal to play with it on, and bonus, if it helps reduce the spread of this virus, I"ll take it!

MUZZLE

A child who I would not consider out of shape from the pause, she was shooting 500+ pucks a week plus skating on our back yard rink daily. Just went back on for the first time in a CCM game on mask. The one approved for hockey. The one that had all the buzz its so great because it doesn't fit tight to your face, the one she was forced to wear because Governor Walz has never worked out a day in his life and has no idea how horrible of an idea it is to make anyone let alone children who give it their all every single practice, my child who was skating and doing drills yesterday on our ice just fine the one who plays SuperSeries and Minnesota Selects who wins fastest skater competitions at tournaments, at practice tonight, felt like she couldn't breathe, light headed, dizzy , nauseous and puked every where. If this is the rest of the season why not just cancel it and call it a day. No, she doesn't want to play the rest of the season but she also feels like she will be letting down her team. My children who at 7 years old chose to give up all sports to focus on hockey. My husband now says we are pulling them until masks are done.

Best option so far for a bit of protection on the ice

Tried the Concept 3 with Splashguard but fog issues were just too bad for me to want to put up with it. So switched back to a Re-akt cage (not technically compatible since Bauer but works fine) and mounted CCM Player Game On Mask. Since it attaches to the cage not your ears you can still drink by lifting up the cage unlike wearing a regular or sport mask under your helmet. And no fogging issues of a fishbowl.

I haven't tried it yet but I think wearing this mask with fishbowl may actually help with fogging issues since it redirects breath downward. May try it in the future but I'm happy with the relatively low maintenance and lack of fog with cage with this mask.

Would I prefer to play without this? Sure. There's also people who say "if you're that scared you shouldn't be playing hockey" - to those people I say it isn't about fearing the virus, it's fearing losing hockey again. We're living through it in Toronto now with wave 2 shutdowns to scrimmaging. So if I can even do a little bit to reduce droplets when I'm on the ice sounds like a win win for everyone, and this is the best option so far with minimal impact to visibility. Breathing is also fine since it isn't right up against your face (except the contact/sealing points). Two thumbs up on this product.
